Room was very dark. No extra wall plugs available near bed for heating pad. Very tight space on vanity of bathroom sink. Gatorade/ bottled water machine near the pool ate my $ & gave me no bottled water. Bottled water out of machine cost $3/bottle. Almost ran into the spiral staircase right outside our room door every time we left the room. Bed was comfy, night staff friendly when I asked for extra coffee pod for the small coffee maker in our room.

Good location. Great restaurant judging by the breakfast buffet. Disappointments were the ice and vending machines...3 out of 4 checked were not working. Also no hangers in the room. Rooms were clean and bed comfortable.

We arrived at 3:35 and told that if we checked in before 4 pm that we would be charged an early check in fee. We were driving from San Antonio with tired children who just wanted to swim. We asked if we would be able to use the pool while we waited. They allowed us to do this, requested we wear wrist bands, I'm not sure why as there were no pool attendants. We were not given directions to the pool or where we could change into suits. The pool was dirty. The back part of the property where the pool is is dingy and old appearing. I became nervous about staying here given the run down appears and looked at other reviews an discovered that there are issues in the rooms being moldy and musty, one person had to be moved several times in 2 days. I then noticed the trend that booking through Expedia ended up with people being charged 2-3 times for their stay, the hotel saying they never received payment which Expedia states was sent At 4:05 I arrived to check in and waited about 20-30 minutes to check in. I was then told that the hotel never received payment and I was going to be charged $140 to stay after I had already paid. They stated that the confirmation number I was given was not correct or noted in their system. I contacted Expedia and they stated they'd discuss with the property for a refund and I found a proper hotel about 40 minutes away and closer to our destination. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

It was too cool for the pool but the outside area of the property was uncared for. Leaves piled up and furniture near our room did not appear clean. They did not have breakfast that day.

The lobby is nice and the staff was pleasant and warm. The room: door was all scratched up and that should have been a clue! Room dark with four lamps, one hard to get on and then bulb went out. Dingy and tv was on some kind of system that the next day a maintenance fellow had to come out and re-program so that it could work. Bed was good and it had five pillows. I asked if they used this kind of room for expedia customers or if they were all like this? Some rooms have been up-graded. Those are the rooms they should be giving folks to advertise that Inn a good place to be.

I have stayed here many times and usually have a perfect experience. Unfortunately this time our air conditioner didn’t work the first night. They did send maintenance to our room to fix it, but it didn’t work. We told the front desk that the ac still didn’t work the next morning and we ended getting downgraded to a smaller room which I found disappointing. I have always loved staying here and so Hope. Text time is better.

Appears to be 60+ year old facility with a convention center attached. Dated old "majestic" property that has seen a lot of traffic. The "exercise" facility consists of 3 treadmills and 2 elliptical trainers that appear to be 20+ years old and have operational issues. The in-room heat did not work, even after being reported. The requested wake-up call was not carried out. The vanity sink drain was plugged. Maid service was competent, accommodating, and friendly.

The hotel is in excellent condition and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated the pub. Rooms were very clean and spacious. Location was great— able to walk down to the river every morning and were minutes away from all we wanted to do. Property is well tended to. I believe they are in the process of upgrading the tv boxes, but maintenance was quick to reset ours when the channels didn’t load. The in-room coffee could be better, but other than that, the amenities were just great. We’ll stay again whenever we come back!

We arrived early and they made us wait until exactly 4:00 to check in. Did all others the same way I will say. There were several large groups that they seemed much more prepared for than our 2 room group although we gave them a month in advance reservation. The rooms were very outdated and somewhat pieced together. There was a coffee pot plugged into a surge protector along with the tv that was suspended mid air and no support. We were given a handicap room and was told it was exactly the same as the others except it had a walk in shower. This was a joke of a walk-in in shower. No glass door only an old cream plastic curtain and was the same floor sharing the toilet. Disgusting. Attached was a vanity that has a terrible dirty smudged mirror. I could be more critical but I will stop here. We didn’t Eat at the restaurant after the condition of room and what we had oaid was too much. We did have a drink at the Pub on Saturday nite and no waitress or waiter. You had one little bartender trying to make the drinks and handle everything.

We checked in on a Sunday and checked out on a Monday. Our room, although beautiful, smelled old and musty…likely due to the wooden ceilings and the age of hotel. They gave you shampoo, but no conditioner in room. The toilet was small, like what you would see in a children’s room. And the morning of checkout, there was no breakfast because their restaurant was closed. That being said, we loved the beautiful architect of the building, the pool, and the surroundings. It felt as if we stepped back in time, when going to a hotel meant something more that a bed and tv. The service was great, waitstaff was friendly, and we will definitely return should we get the chance.

The room was pretty nice.The bathroom had been completely remodeled and was very clean. Good toiletries and towels. The furniture was in pretty bad shape and the carpet was dirty....probably just old. The whole place just looked worn and in need of a little TLC. But, the room was only $116. So, i guess it was a decent deal.
