"Its good if you are just passing through, but if your staying for a couple days id recommend somewhere else. There is another hotel directly behind this one and looks like its being used for an apartment complex rather than a hotel. The A/C units barely worked. The wall plug behind the bed looked like it had caught fire at one point. The room was clean but house keeping only checks rooms that are already empty or recently vacated. Broken down vehicles in the parking lot. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The room was spacious."

"The ac was terrible in our room. It would cycle on and off throughout the night and i did not like the bedding on the bed. Whoever heard of putting the blankets over the comforter. Another problem was we could not get Tv to work. The third problem was the shampoo bottle was empty in the shower and there was no soap in tge bathroom either. By the sink there was a thing of lotion on wall, but still no soap. Very unsanitary. One of the lamps by the bed was also broken and just dangling off the wall. Also it was very noisy most of the night."

"Room was fairly clean. Large stain on carpet and the only chair was very stained. Floors were sticky. Phone did not work. Potatoes at breakfast were room temperature. Waffles were excellent. Eggs were room temperature. Staff was very friendly, especially check-in person, Carol, who was very accommodating and helpful. She was a shinning star for Hampton Inns."

"We had stayed in in early February and opted to return in April. This was based mostly on price and convenience. The hotel is located a half-block off Broadway, the main street in downtown Columbus. It is also within 2 blocks of the river walk. Pros: - We were able to walk to our dinner reservation a couple of blocks away. You can easily walk to just about anything in the core downtown business district. - Room was quiet and spacious. - Breakfast was good (and included in the price). Cons: - Parking is in a gated lot on premises and costs an additional $12 per night. I understand this (given their location). Also, the lot is a 2-story deck. If you arrive late, there is a good chance you'll need to park in the lower level, take an elevator up one floor to the exterior deck, and then enter the hotel from there. This isn't a major problem, just something to be aware of. It is a trade off versus the other conveniences of their location. If we have tickets for an evening performance in Columbus later in the year, we'll likely return here. "
