Great place and friendly staff. Really nice location near the loch and easy to drive to all the sights in the surrounding area. The breakfast that was included was very nice and the food at the restaurant in the evening was great and vegetarian/vegan friendly.

We were so happy to find this charming small inn right on the water. The rooms are lovely and quaint. The staff is so welcoming and friendly too. But the standout was the dinner. The chef made the absolute best fish and chips we had in Scotland and that is saying a lot! Also he suggested a lovely Rose to compliment. A lovely way to spend an evening on the way up to Skye.

The food was excellent. Staff and service gracious. Location picturesque. Our family room was spacious . Great inventory of wine and spirits. 2 GBP to Fort William (20 mins) on bus. Serenity in an absolutely gorgeous natural setting. Owners are lovely.
Delicious goat cheese salad on seasonal menu. We re-ordered the following evening.

Beautiful location, quaint little spot. I would give it 4 1/2 stars but I didn’t get a wink sleep because the mattresses were less comfortable than sleeping on the ground in a tent. It wasn’t even what I would call a mattress. The double bed was actually two twin box springs pushed together. Unbelievable that such a beautiful and quaint hotel wouldn’t spend a little bit of money making sure their guests got a comfortable night sleep

We only stayed for one night and did not book more than a basic double room, though I think I might have got upgraded to a loch view, thank you. I would have to book a different room if staying for longer as it was quite tight with a very small bathroom, nowhere to hang towels or put toiletries. One side of the bed was ok but the other sloped so a good nights sleep was not had by one of us. The room was clean if a little tired and had all the amenities you need. The location is excellent for views and position for anyone travelling up the west coast. Restaurant staff were excellent, very friendly and informative and the evening meal and breakfast were very good, and you get a fantastic view of the loch and mountains whilst you eat. We also tried the local gin, which went down very well. We stayed here about 16 years ago on our way through from Skye so it was a reminiscent trip on our way north, I believe the hotel is under new management so I will keep watching for our next trip to see if we shall stay again.

Our room was very nice, we had the twin bed room so things were a little close but still not bad. The closet was small but worked well for us. The bathroom was very clean and nice with all the amenities we needed. There was tea/coffee maker in the room with several bottles of water. The service from the staff was excellent from the check in, maids and waiters. I will admit when I saw it was a distillery it piqued my interest thinking whiskey, nope it is a gin distillery. We meet the owner and he provided us with a flight of the gin he makes on the premises, it was superb to say the least. I highly recommend it. We had dinner in the bar, and it was well prepared and fresh. The breakfast is the classic Scottish breakfast, it was nicely prepared and fresh. The breakfast area looks out over the river and up to the mountains for a great view.

Very helpful and cheerful staff.We booked the "tiny double" by mistake but the gentleman on reception solved the problem with a smile. Tasty food and very welcoming lady in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast.

Great location and a cute building. However, basic upgrades and attention to details are needed considering how expensive the place is. The tea kettle in the room was old and gross-needed to be deep cleaned (preferably replaced, the bottom had a gross slime on it). Only thing provided in the bathroom was soap, not even shampoo. No fresh coffee was available for breakfast even though I showed up during the scheduled breakfast time (8:30, a full hour before breakfast was over). They never made more coffee just provided instant which is obviously not as good. If there are guests that want fresh coffee there should be fresh coffee provided. The solution provided was to charge me for coffee from the machine which was ridiculous. Why not just make more fresh coffee or at least make some from the machine without asking the guest to pay? The cost for the stay was over £250 so the fact they are trying to charge for coffee when they refuse to make more is just ridiculous and for lack of a better description, lazy. Plus they didn’t even have hot water available (it was empty) if I had of wanted tea instead.
