Beautiful sunrise over the lake, amazing Douglas fir log lodge handcrafted by meticulous craftsmen. Food is amazing and the rooms are cozy. The owners are the staff so the care about all the little details you won’t get from a large faceless chain.

Gorgeous property with incredible scenery. The staff are friendly and helpful with tips for adventuring about. The food is better than anywhere else in town so thats a bonus at the end of a long day. The bathroom in our room was a outdated, but every thing was very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful views of lake we had the whole beach to ourselves. Such a nice quiet area! Supper was fabulous at the lodge! They were very welcoming and helpful to accommodate us. We will be back next summer for sure.

Overall I found the resort an excellent place to stay if you’re in the Hudson Hope area. That being said a few things should be noted. First, it is outside of Hudson Hope proper and in order to get to it you need to drive on gravel. Second, because of the location the hi-speed internet is limited. And finally, the staff are super friendly. None of these bugged me, but they also were not readily apparent from the description provided on Expedia.

Nice relaxing stay. Can hear neighboring rooms. They have cats and dogs in the common areas which we loved but others might not.

Unfriendly & very rude

Room was good and clean and we originally booked for 2 nights. Staff is very friendly and the food was good. As there were an excavator doing garden work and a truck running back and forth every 5-10 minutes while we were there, we couldn't enjoy the silence on the patio for which we made our way out there and for which they decorate themselves on their website. When we told that to the management the answer was "well you guys are free to leave" no apology for the circumstance, no offer instead as a gesture or similar - they didn't care and they didn't try anything to make us feel better. Really disappointed of that way! (Typical swiss!) When we made our decision and told them we are leaving the answer of the big fellow (owner) was "oh great - awesome". We were speechless with such a rude, unfriendly reply. Never had that in Canada before! So we suggest NOT to go there and bring them any turnover. As they are short on staff and busy with their stuff anyways, it might be even better, as they then can do their stuff and don't bother at all about the guests convenience kinda like take it or leave it. Not to mention that the fridge wasn't working, no fan in the bathroom, the TV signal got mostly lost and the dog poop up the driveway. Save the money and go elsewhere! 2 experienced Canada travelleres from Switzerland...

Lovely lodge, great views

Great place to spend a night or two. Junior suite was lovely but dreadful chairs. Almost like children's chair. Toilet seat was broken. Nice clean bedding. Dreadful lighting for reading in bed. Great food, two beautiful dogs and a lovely black cat.
