"The kettle situation. What a faff. Plug is under the dresser. Have to scramble under there to unplug it before you can pour water from the kettle. Small inconvenience, I guess. But very irritating and poorly thought out layout. Hairdryer didn't work either. Maybe a blessing as it was the same scramble under that dresser to try plugging that in."

"Hi, just needed a bed for the night as my daughters family were using my caravan nearby. Fife Lodge appeared to be a very nice hotel in a pleasant green setting. The young girls, staff on duty were pleasant and efficient, helpful and friendly. Had a nice room, quiet overnight, enjoyed a nice power shower in the morning followed by a nice breakfast in a nice dining room. Again the girl on breakfast duty was friendly and efficient. Checked out and that was that. All good. Id return again anytime! Doug Cameron"

"Clean room, comfy bed. Car park is small but plenty on street parking nearby. Great price. Premises are looking a bit tired and dated but that is fairly reflected in the price. Single room was small but functional. Very close to town centre with a good selection of cafes and takeaways within easy walking distance."

"From the outside this B&B looks nothing special, black colour looked very uninviting. However, inside was a very different story. The owners were friendly and welcoming. Our room was super clean, roomy and comfortable. We had an evening meal on the premises and it was cooked to perfection and very good value - the best meal we had on our eighteen day trip away. Breakfast didn’t disappoint either with plenty of choice. Excellent value, would definitely stay again if in the area."

"Room dirty , no remote for tv No breakfast in morning even though we were charged for breakfast,no one available at all in the morning,tried calling the phone number supplied but no answer , finally got the manager at 12oclkck midday ,told them about my issues and they did not care in the slightest ,told me to contact hotels .com ,absolutely disgusting behaviour customer service zero . Do not recommend this place to anyone . "
