One of the best things about Folkestone is how peaceful the seafront is, because there are no cars racing along it. The Westward Ho is in a dream position, with stunning sea views, calm and quiet surroundings, and gorgeous walks along the undercliff into central Folkestone and the harbour. Our room was good, though the shower and the sashcord windows were a bit ropey and needed a bit of attention.

Close to the beach, good location. Breakfast was included in our room which was convenient. you can hear the other guest sometimes from above rooms. Unfortunately, there were loud noises from the above room past midnight

Het pand ligt op een uitzonderlijk mooie locatie en aan een rustige straat. Onze kamer had direct uitzicht op zee! Tussen het hotel en de zee ligt een mooi park. Op 10 min. Lopen ligt een mooie speeltuin voor de kinderen. De ontvangst was supervriendelijk. Het ontbijt bestond uit brood, muesli, croissants, etc. De matrassen lagen niet erg lekker. Op het tweepersoons bed waren de veren duidelijk te voelen. Als je hier meerdere nachten op moet liggen dan is dat niet fijn. Wij waren er voor 1 nacht.

Breakfast was ok but beds were like camp beds, carpet was dirty and TV/internet didn't work. We were only there for one night and I wouldn't return.

I would stay at this property again. It was very comfortable and clean. We were able to walk to a very nice restaurant and a beautiful park. The staff were very friendly and check in was easy.

There was a mix up with our room whereby someone else had been given it before we arrived although they hadn’t used it at all. The only problem with this is that the couple who thought they were in our room and had gone out for the evening arrived back and came into our room at 12.15am. The hotel staff had done their best to contact them during the evening but to no avail they even put a note on the door to tell Them their new room number but they even missed that. Everything else was fine though friendly staff and clean rooms albeit hot as the windows wouldn’t open very far. I would stay here again

We only needed somewhere for one night on our journey to France and it was fine for what we needed. We got a nice family room which was very clean. It also wecomed dogs which we needed. Basic breakfast and a little run down in parts but good location.

It was a great stop off with a room for 5 of us which i found difficult to find elsewhere. Room was very clean and well presented. Staff were lovely and helpful. Breakgast is continental with lots of options. There was something we all liked. Great walking spot particularly as we had our 2 dogs this was a particularly good feature.

After staying several times at the Westward Ho hotel, I’m always pleased with the no-fuss, friendly, clean, and professional atmosphere. Once again, the staff did not disappoint – the guy at check-in was super friendly and helpful (sorry I didn’t catch his name!). For the first time, I booked my stay including breakfast – and what a pleasant surprise! Karen, who was there bright and early at 7:30 am, welcomed everyone with a warm smile and professional service. Thank you, Karen! It was great to have cereals, fruit, toast, and croissants available just downstairs – very convenient and a lovely start to the day. Definitely check it out, and be sure to say hello to Karen from me!

Symphatiek b&b hotelletje. Ligging zeer goed om met onze honden te wandelen op de mooie promenade. We hadden 2 kamers op de begane grond (ook om gevraagd bij boeking). Een hele grote familiekamer (fijn met de honden) en een standaard tweepersoons. Allebei mooi ingericht, alleen de kleinere kamer was erg koud en werd niet warm door de kieren in de nog oude kozijnen. De grote was zeer comfortabel. Fijn ook de waterflesjes en mogelijkheid om koffie/thee te zetten. Wij vonden het niet gehorig, andere gasten waren rustig. Symphatieke receptionist. Enige wat tegenviel was de inhoud van het tasje voor het vroege ontbijt. We hadden voor 2 personen onbijt bij geboekt, maar 1 van ons bleef op de kamer vanwege de honden (die overigens wel de ontbijtruimte in mochten, maar dat zijn ze niet gewend). Het ontbijtbuffet was prima, maar in het tasje zat echt te weinig om goed te kunnen ontbijten en was niet de prijs van het ontbijt waard. Volgende keer boeken we dus voor 1 persoon ontbijt, regelen we zelf wat voor de ander, probleem opgelost! Want dit hotel wordt wel onze vaste stopover, zo goed beviel het!

Lovely hotel

A lovely hotel with spacious, clean rooms and a convenient location, just a short walk to the town centre, and only a 15 minute drive to the Le shuttle terminal. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out quick and hassle free. The continental breakfast was simple yet enjoyable , and catered for allergens upon request. Overall, a pleasant and comfortable stay. We would happily return and recommend it to others.
