Property manager was accessible for late check in & recommendations for parking & food options. VERY affordable parking garage w/in walkable distance. Guest house is definitely close enough so you can walk to the sites. Overall a very good option!

A budget-friendly stay

A well-located property within walking distance of the city centre. Adequate facilities for food and drink preparation. The room was fine, although the the shower head and shower doors were on their last legs. Fine for a budget-friendly trip.

This was the perfect location so close to the Spanish steps. It truly was easy to get around, a bit of walking but great. We did have a street car in the front so it was a little noisy at times. We were close to a lot of dining options.

Good location. Reasonable price. The stairway hall was a bit moldy smelling, probably because they have plants on the top landing and no ventilation. I had to use my puffer a couple of times because of this but it wasn't too bad. A person not sensitive to mold would not notice. Traffic noise was present at night but not enough to keep me awake but might be an issue for a very light sleeper.

It was a good 20-30 walk to main sights. But there are many restaurants and grocery stores along the way. There was only one pillow each we like 2. There were mosquitoes in room at night keeping us awake. We think from an open window in kitchen. They said had to stay open. The kitchen was very handy with microwave, fridge,sink and kettle.

it's located not too far away from the train station (around 15mins walk). The area around the building is tidy so you feel safe. Need a bit walking to the attractions to the south east of the station but it's acceptable. The room itself is very spacious, with high ceilingm very tidy and clean. And my room is on the top floor so it's generally quiet at the night despite it's close to the main road. David is the host and he is super friendly, before and during the days I stayed there I had a few questions and he always responded quickly. The only 1 thing I can think of could be improved is the supply of the daily necessities, such as bottle of water, plastic/paper cup, disposable slipper, etc. But other than that this is a nice place to stay.

Very Poor Stay

Sorry to say we had a pretty miserable stay here. The room was pretty run down with paint peeling off the walls, and smelled stale (the room and linens) The building itself has a strong musty smell. The worst part of the stay though was that there were mosquitos that would find their way into our room every night and bite us and get in our ears and wake us. We would wake up between 3-4am every night and have to go on a mosquito killing spree. You can see the splat marks on the walls where guests before us had to do the same. The location was peaceful and walkable to the tourist areas. We received no communications from the guest house the entire time. There is no reception desk, we received no check-in instructions, and only from some online research and reading fine print on the hotels.com site did we learn that we had to contact them via WhatsApp to get access to the building/room. We reached out to them and heard back an hour later with a code to get in. Would not stay here again.

The check in process was very inconvenient. They require you to notify the host at least 72 hours before arriving for check in. Even upon doing this we were waiting for the host to message us back with check in instructions. When entering our room the bathroom shower door was literally off the hooks hanging. There was construction on the first & second floor the entire time. Constant drilling from 6am on.

No staff on site & no elevator. Had to call to get code to enter building then had to text them our birth dates, address & passport info to get lockbox code to get our room key. Then had to carry our luggage up to 3rd floor, so it was a bit inconvenient. Also, Mold on shower tile & dust blew all over floor when we turned on air conditioner, so room could have been cleaner.
