Easy to check in remotely. It was located next to a lot of restaurants and a nice park that we were able to walk to. Angelica, the property manager was so helpful! She provided me with great information on how to check in and use keys to get into the building.
I had a really wonderful stay! The location was nice and quiet. It was also a relatively short walk to the train station. The staff at the reception desk was super helpful and accommodating, I would definitely stay here again!
There is a tram station nearby, so it's very convenient. The water pressure in the shower was also great. Best of all, there is a delicious jarato restaurant nearby.
I don’t normally write reviews but this was a really sweet small B+B which was perfect. Communal sun terrace for breakfast/ sitting out. It was clean and Angelica on reception friendly .
Check in was remote, but easy. Room as clean and nice. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only issue was traffic noise as it is by a busy road, but it was quiet during sleeping hours.
We enjoyed our stay at Il Sorriso. The communication between Angelica and Antonella was magnificent. The house is so close to the metro line for T1 at the Strozzi Fallacci line. We took breakfast and it was worth it. Thank you for everything!
This property was nice and clean and has a beautiful common terrace to sit on. It is about 15 min on foot to the Academia and 5 more to the Duomo. About a block to the tram - 3 stops to the Santa Maria Novella train station (where we departed for Venicia). Lucia was wonderful and helped us with our tourist needs. Thank you for a great stay!
Good spot with a great terrace for trying out a bottle of Tuscan wine. Not in the city center but close enough to walk or use a short cab ride. It’s not fancy but we found it comfortable.

Disliked: Amenities
The place was ok, but the pictures made it look much nicer. It had limited AC in beastly hot weather, no refrigerator in the room for cold drinks, and the shower was tiny. Also, with the staff saying towels wouldn't be replaced daily, there should be adequate spots to hang them to dry. The staff, when there, were very pleasant.
It is clear the owners care about the space and had good communications before arrival. We were able to walk to our destinations. The rooms likely vary. We had the Tulip room and it was not well represented on the site. Its bathroom and shower were very small and the room could use a refresh. However, for the price and location, it was acceptable.
Conveniently located. About 18 minutes walk from the Firenze S.M.Nuvella train station, 15 minutes to the city center, and for us, about 15 minutes walk towards the pickup location for the Siena Chianti day tour. Angelica was very responsive and checked in with us for our arrival time. Clean room and our bed was made every day. If you are a light sleeper, it may be a bit noisy since it is right beside Via Giovanni Milton, but it should be okay since you will do a lot of walking and hiking during the day. Recommended.
Great property and stay! The room was so cute and stylish, and the balcony was such a treat. The balcony photos posted don’t do the property justice. We ordered breakfast and it was delicious and plentiful. The check in process was good, just be sure to message the property with an ETA so that they can expect you. When you arrive, buzz the doorbell near the door to be let it. We found that part a bit confusing, but luckily some tenants of the building were downstairs and guided us.
For walking to the main attractions, the hotel is in a safe neighborhood and it’s not too long of a walk. About 15-20 minutes.
Would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay in Camera Giglio. The highlight of the clean, comfortable space was the terrace accessible directly from our room with a table and 2 chairs for enjoying a bottle of Chianti after a day out and about. For 10€ per person extra, the host Angelica provides breakfast on the lower part of the delightful terrace that features a few tables and seating for lounging. Angelica was very helpful before and during our stay. She ordered a taxi for us for a very early checkout to catch a train to Salerno and to get to the meeting point for our Tuscan Wine Tasting tour. The neighborhood is quiet and felt very safe. Since we are older and have limits to the distances we can walk, we only wish we realized it was further from central Florence than expected. Prepare for 10 minute taxi ride to popular spots like Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the main train station. You will need to call for a taxi because there doesn't appear to be any nearby taxi stands where you can easily walk to. Flagging taxis on the street, of course, is not done in Florence. Also note while towels and a bath mat are provided, small washcloths are not. Those are small details though that are just good to know. We will definitely stay here again.
