The staff (particularly the gentleman that seems to be the manager) were very nice and helpful. No frills, very clean, and excellent location. The hotel is located in an ideal situation for the train station; the centre of Florence / visitor attractions are all close at hand. This is a very comfortable family run hotel, the owner was an absolute gentleman, warm, friendly & very personable. His son, who generally managed the continental breakfast, was pleasant & attentive; as were the housekeeping staff who kept the rooms / general areas, clean. Whilst the hotel doesn’t have a bar, there is a TV / lounge area, with a mini bar / fridge in every bedroom. We will visit Florence again, for sure, and will absolutely stay at the Hotel Beatrice.

Very friendly and delicious breakfast

This is a classic Italian family run hotel. Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Location is very convenient and in walking distance to the train station, airport tram, and many of the sights in Florence. The elevator was an added and appreciated bonus.

It was an excellent stay in a quiet street 5 mins away from the train station and about 10 mins away from the centre. Very easy to walk almost anywhere. The rooms are spacious unlike the norm in Italy, air conditioning and private shower. Very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast to start the day. Constantine for your assistance and a friendly welcome.

Enjoyed our stay

Location was perfect, being near the main station and also close to the sites. Although the interior was a little dated in appearance, it was clean and comfortable. The water was always hot for when you want a shower and standard toiletries were always replenished so you don’t run out. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Constantine who gave us invaluable advice and suggestions on what to do and where to go. I would definitely use this hotel again.

The owner is always present (it’s his family hotel for 70 years) and incredibly knowledgeable about Florence. He greets you at the elevator at any hour. He also gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations as well as suggestions on places that should not be missed. 10 out of 10 would definitely stay here again.
