Top notch destination!

I recommend this hotel that is perfect in many facets: staff, location, cleanliness, restaurants, activities. Everything was perfect from booking to our stay. The staff is very professional and caring for clients. Will definitely visit again!

The accommodations and staff were great ! It’s a beautiful property, food in dining room was very good. We were able to take walks along the beach. Drawbacks would be that the beach was rough w shells but wearing water shoes helped. Wine was very expensive! We were warned but it was still a shock !

The staff at the venue made our holiday for us. My wife has a number of dietary requirements and the staff went out of their way to cater for her in all cases. Nothing was too much of a problem. It also helped that the room was stunning, as was the view and surroundings. It's a small hotel and if that's what you're looking for then it's perfect.

I really liked this adults only hotel. Compared to the hotel we came from in Grand Baie, this was a nice and relaxing change. Without kids running around, it made for a quieter and more relaxing stay. Everything was lovely from our room to the grounds to the available water activities. However, with the lack of children, the food options were limited. Sometimes I just wanted a simple pizza or some ice cream, but that wasn’t available at dinner. Also, the nighttime entertainment was less touristy and family oriented, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it would’ve been cool to see some local, cultural entertainment. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing and serene, which I loved. The vibe in Flic-En-Flac is just very chill, which I also loved, in comparison to the busy, touristy vibe of Grand Baie. Really, there isn’t too much to complain about here. The staff was very friendly, the beach/pool areas were great, the room was nice and big, and it was easy to park the car since the hotel was at the end of the street (I.e. not much traffic). I’d love to go back to this hotel in the future. Highly recommended!

I was upgraded to a villa at adjacent Maradiva, which was extravagant and luxurious. The resort is breathtaking and everything is run extremely professionally. I was treated like royalty. The staff at the restaurants at both resorts, the spa staff at Sands, the receptionists, and all other staff were extremely kind and accommodating. I had a relaxing massage and a lovely facial at the Sands spa. There were some issues with my pre-booked tennis lessons (no coach), which was frustrating, since I had booked Sands because of the tennis, but the last day they managed to bring in an excellent tennis coach and I had a great lesson with him. Thanks to all staff for making my stay very nice indeed.

We were wowed the moment we arrived at the hotel, the warmth of the hotel team’s welcome, swift and smooth check-in, immediate decor and view of the hotel, and not too mention the help we received unpacking a very messy car… The festive schedule was packed with delights, activities and celebrations. Arriving in Christmas day, we had an extra lovely buffet dinner. Though we had planned to travel during our stay, but decided that we were content with relaxing in the lovely surroundings of the hotel and the range of activities on offer. The hotel staff were the real star, very professional, friendly and helpful throughout our stay and made us feel at home. Our stay at Sands was part of our honeymoon in Mauritius- thank you to the team for making it extra special for us.

All time high - best resort ever!

Completely overwhelmed by this resort - all the smiling and helpful faces, making our experiences something really extra. Felt like home from day one, and I can actually not think about one thing that is not perfect. The food is one of a kind, the pool area and view is spectacular, and the rooms..Wow!! Will definitely come back here again. Have been on the island before, and this resort is by far the best I have experienced. Also, all kinds of activities are included in the room price. Which makes you able to just relax, enjoy your holiday, and take a sip of one of the amazing drinks from the bar. We also tried the spa, can really recommend the Bamboo-massage! About the cleaning service: excellent - the turn down service in the evenings was much appreciated. With both chocolate and new text every night, super cosy! To summarize - if going to Mauritius, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to experience this again.

Our room on the garden floor of the hotel, surrounded by natural vegetation and life, was wonderful. House keeping was cleaned the room both in the morning and in the evening. Luxury products were used in the bathroom. We had a large, comfortable room with a sea view. The staff were friendly, helpful and very kind. The food was great. The staff were all very nice but the hard-working and kind Ashwin in the restaurant and Ruby who helped on the beach were really good staff. Your expectations and perceptions are shaped by how you plan your holiday. We made a reservation thinking that the sea would be very nice. But unfortunately the sea was too shallow for swimming. Even the sea of ​​the public beach, which was only 4 minutes away by car, was better. I can say that everything was great except the sea. Drone shooting is not allowed in the hotel at any time or any area.

Nice hotel with great, personal service

Had a great week at Sands Suites. Have stayed at other resorts in Flic-en-Flac and what really stood out was the excellent and very personal service. The staff was super friendly, they remembered you and seemed to genuinely enjoy interacting with the guests. The resort is a bit smaller than the others, but facilities were plenty.

Superior Room are big and very nice. Hotel cleanliness is top. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice. Evening buffet could be better though decent enough. Hotel has plenty of indoor/outdoor activities. Overall a great experience.

We stayed at this wonderful resort for a night last week- definitely not long enough. Everything was perfect. Exceptionally good and friendly service from everyone. The resort is at one end of the beach with its own bay. It felt very exclusive. Would love to go back one day.

The staff were extremely accommodating with all requests. The rooms were immaculate, spacious and had plenty of storage space. There were really thoughtful and practical touches in the room. The sea view was amazing. There were extensive water sports available included included in the accommodation fee. The jacuzzi is outdoors but was incredible. There was not as extensive a range of food as at other resorts of this calibre but this did not detract from the fabulous stay in any way.

Great hotel to stay at!

There are three good reasons to stay at this hotel. First of all the staff, the food and the location. Most hotels have friendly staff. This was something extra ordinary. The staff really did their absolute best to make sure that we where happy and taken care of. I usually try to avoid hotels with all inclusive since the food most of the times does not meet your expectations. Here the food was really good! Well cooked and with a great variety. We stayed at three different hotels during our stay in the island. If I return I will definitely choose this hotel again.

A cozy resort with a lovely small beach area directly in front of the hotel, with the longer beach area easily accessible too. Hotel staff were all genuine, very friendly and helpful. Rooms all very big with balconies, sofa and seat in room and huge bathroom with walk in wardrobe area. Restaurant was nice with enough food choices but not huge ranges (with corresponding huge waste usually!) like other bigger resorts might have. Drinks and food not included in your plan were close to London prices. The hotel offered excellent activities such as snorkelling/glass bottom boat trip to nearby reef, pedalos and kayaking, access to sauna and steam rooms all at no extra price. Overall a really lovely place to stay!
