Close tonlical shops and the mini kitchenette was a most welcomed feature. All in all we had an excellent stay at the hotel and given the opportunity, I would definitely stay here again. 」

「The property is new, clean, and quite small. It almost a private and exclusive feel to it. Our deluxe room had a great view of the bay and was clean and modern with a spacious tile bathroom. The pool is large and heated and there's also a private beach. The hotel is located very close to Agios Nikolaos, although due to logistics, it's required to take a car to get there. The town is laid-back, but has a lot of restarants and shopping. 」

Onze kamer was netjes doch de badkamer vergt hier en daar wat onderhoud. Het ligt op loopafstand 5 min van het strand en 20 minuutjes lopen naar het oude gezellige stadscentrum van Malia. 「Given its proximity to the beachfront one would expect the Kastro apartments to be a lot more expensive yet they remain cheaply priced and fairly well looked after. Much of the bar, restaurant and rooftop terrace are new and the friendly and helpful staff really make it a highly recommended from me. The finishing touch was giving me a place to safely store my valuables so I could go have fun before my flight 5 hours later then even offering me a shower despite having already checked out. 」

We arrived just before the beginning of the season and it was pretty dead to be honest which was really nice to spend the first few days to relax. 「Lovely resort, incredibly family friendly. Kids club is great if child is over 3 years old. Very relaxing stay, only downside is beach is quite rocky compared to others visited in Crete, but you can always use the pool. 」
