"This is all about the location but you pay for it. We are travelling around Europe for 3 months and this was our ‘treat’ as we paid almost £200 a night. It was off season - I believe it is double++ this in peak season. The area is lovely but please be aware if you’re thinking of visiting in the off season. Most of Flåm was closed. Plus they’re extending the Marina so there was the banging from the pile driver most of the day. Obviously this isn’t the hotels fault but I do feel this perhaps should be mentioned "

"We were upgraded to one of the apartments which was great as much bigger than we had booked however sofa bed wasn’t made up, we were missing towels and tv didn’t work. There is a lot of work going on around the village currently with the pub renovations and pier renovations. "

"Very friendly and courteous staff! It was cold outside but the room was lovely and cozy warm. Nice dinner and my breakfast was included. It is right next to the ferry dock in Gudvangen. In the morning, after breakfast I walked over to the Viking Village and did a tour there… very interesting and worth doing. The bus stop was no more than a 10 minute walk from Fjordtel and I jumped on the bus to Bergen. Thank you for your hospitality Gudvangen Fjordtel!"

"The Heimly staff was friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room had gorgeous views of the fjords. Breakfast was excellent, and the three-course vegetarian dinner that the chef prepared for us was the best meal we had on our trip to the Scandinavian countries. "
