Sehr schönes, klassischeres Hotel. Sehr ruhig und entspannt am Wasser gelegen mit Steg perfekt für Polarlichtfotografie, wenn welche da sind. Restaurant ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Geruch der Fischverarbeitungsindustrie im Ort war nicht störend an den 3 Tagen.

Rachel checked us in and she was terrific. Lots of fun ands customer service oriented. Very charming hotel with a wonderful restaurant on the water. The wait staff was great too. Mazy was the best.

Nice hotel in a remote but gorgeous fjord. Not much else around the area, but the hotel restaurant was delicious and everyone was very friendly. Beautiful unobstructed views of the fjord. Nice quiet town if you want a bit of serenity after a long day of driving the ring road.

This is a charming boutique hotel housed in a beautifully repurposed former French hospital. The property has a unique character that sets it apart from typical hotels. The views are beautiful, the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, and the on-site restaurant serves excellent food. The combination of history, comfort, and great dining made this one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable place to stay.

Cool little hotel room. Nice view on the fjord. Check in was easy, a bit odd that there is no one at reception on checkout. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a good spot in town, although it’s a pretty small town so I guess anywhere would be ok. One thing to note- some websites say the exhibition is included with the hotel stay. That’s not true, it’s like a 10% discount. Also parking is a bit of an issue so if you have mobility problems might not be a good spot for you.

Tout mon voyage est réservé pour deux adultes et deux chambres. On nous a affecté deux chambres « single » minuscules indignes d’un 3 étoiles à 360€ chacune et dans deux bâtiments différents. Bruits d’eau qui bouillonne (chauffage?) toute la nuit impossible de dormir et personne a la reception le matin pour se plaindre. Mauvaise expérience. Pourtant le fosshotel suivant de vanatjokull est parfait.

The room was clean but the mattress was too firm and the mini refrigerator didn’t work very well. The view was very lovely and the location very scene. The staff were helpful. We enjoyed a dinner at L’Abri Restaurant but it was expensive.

Great stay, not very many people around , the hotel was very clean and accommodating , the hotels restaurant’s was French, and the other restaurants in town that was open was the cafe, we enjoyed an amazing pizza! Room was perfect very spacious for 3 people! Highly recommend!

Fosshotel was clean and comfortable. We rented two rooms for one night. The staff accommodated us on our late arrival. After staying in several larger cabin-type accommodations, this felt very small, but in reality, it was the size of small hotel room. We had everything that we needed. We arrived late and left early, so we did not explore the area much, but the views from our balconies were breath-taking. Just stunning! We would definitely stay again!
