"We have just finished our 5 day stay at the hotel. We loved it from start to finish. It was a great location 20 minute walk to the new town and just around the corner from the old town. The hotel was very chilled out and had stunning aesthetic. The roof top bar was also very stunning. Staff were fantastic and gave great service. There was a wide range of options for breakfast. You can ask for towels for the pool at reception which I thought was a nice touch and pools don’t open until 10 which allows everyone a fair chance of getting a sun bed… we never had any problems. Sun doesn’t go on the pool downstairs until around mid day but you will get sun on the roof top bar. We also really liked how you could check in online before so saved a lot of time. We highly recommend and would definitely stay again!"
"Room was small but clean and suitable for my three nights, had a balcony to.
Location perfect in old town, 5 min walk to beach and it took me 30 Minutes each night to walk to the strip.
Continental breakfast was a joke, they deliver a bag containing warm carton of juice, bread roll, two cake items, butter, jam and paper cup, and sachet of coffee. I did not touch any of mine. I was a little upset about this, as this was why out of two options I choose this hotel due to it including the breakfast.
The only other complaint as a solo traveller the surprise request for 200 euro deposit. I paid on my credit card, however, for the refund it is to be paid up to 14 days after by bank transfer to a bank account. Praying it does get refunded.
I will also mention all the staff are spanish and do not understand any English."
"Excellent Stay with Superb Food and Views!
We recently stayed at the Alicante Port Hotel and had a fantastic experience. From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed; the foyer is absolutely stunning on arrival. The hotel staff were all very helpful throughout our stay, but a special mention must go to Stella, a young trainee girl who went out of her way to be incredibly helpful to us.
Our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, which was no problem at all as the hotel has great luggage storage facilities we could use. We opted for half board and the food was truly second to none. The choice was unbelievable. We were there for a number of nights and the main meat and fish options changed every single evening. There was an incredible selection of salads, fish, pasta, meats, and even pizzas for the kids. In the mornings, the breakfast offered everything from waffles and pancakes to fresh fruit , made to order omelettes and hot breakfast
We wanted a room with a balcony and paid for an upgrade, which was absolutely worth it. Another massive highlight was the location; it is a very good, accessible location to the beach, making it so easy to get down to the sand.
During the day, we spent time at the rooftop pool and bar, which was absolutely fabulous, but it becomes even more fabulous at night. It is a really nice place to go in the evening to chill with fabulous (but pricey) cocktails"
