Photos on website look great, but it is not like that inside. Bathroom tiles need regrouted, silicon seal old and tired with pink mould visible, windows faulty, paint peeling from roof and window ledge. The hotel requires a major revamp.
The ground floor is muliti level. From reception you need to climb one flight of stairs to reach the Bar area and down another flight of stairs to go for Breakfast. Our room was on the first floor and required 3 flights of stairs. No lift
Swimming pool closed, stops serving food at 7.30pm, pipes bang and clatter all night, the kettle didn't work, the room door didn't lock and I think it's actually a care home for the elderly. No -one was under 65. The wallpaper and paint peeling. The bed was uncomfortable. Terrible.
The staff where helpful especially the receptionist and the afternoon bar staff.
Unfortunately there are no lifts as disabled this was an issue as room was up stairs and along very long corridor. They introduced a new menu when we chose items from the menu we where told the fish order hadnt arrived also various lines where different in areas- WHY.
We finally ordered however wasnt what we wanted i must say we where a party of 5, cheesy chips came which were disgraceful and was handed back. We were staying at this hotel as it was local to a very personnel event therefore was not a jolly so it was awful when we all went to bed after a very stressful day , could not go to sleep because our rooms where above the dining room where a singer was singing until 10.38pm very difficult, maybe we should have been told when we arrived. Breakfast was good and again staff pleasant.
Lovely place really helpful staff, however check out is at 10am and breakfast is 8am to 9am so felt a bit rushed leaving after a lovely evening at Kynren...

Clean and efficient
Stayed at the Eden arms for one night on a business trip. The hotel is dated in decor and breakfast choices but it was clean and the staff were lovely. The service was efficient and friendly and the room had a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and ironing board/iron which is really all that was needed. I did not have the chance to use the leisure facilities so can’t comment on those. Only negative was the lack of mobile phone reception at the hotel but there is free WiFi available.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment and mainly caters for bus trips , the food is average, that being said the staff are very friendly but I won’t be rushing back
Very nice comfortable and quiet rooms. The food is nice in the restaurant.
There is no WiFi or mobile signal . The meal times are very restrictive. Breakfast starts at 8 AM. This hotel is not suited for business travellers.
Breakfast on first morning had run out of bacon ,sausage , hash browns fifteen minutes before closing time!,
Bedroom could be very good but too much paint pealing off, much of the wallpaper coming off! Basically the bedroom was tatty. Breakfast problems were really improved for second day.

We thought our room was very well appointed, clean and well equipped. The menu for evening meals wasn't very adventurous and the times for breakfasts, 8 till 9 not very 21st Century! Some parts of the hotel were looking a bit tired too. The member of staff that checked us in was very friendly.

Not suitable for business stays
Not suitable for business stays as it is a shearings coach holiday hotel
disappointing stay given the price of the room. Tfhe room looked like it was in the middle of being decorated. Bed was small and not comfortable. Sound proofing not good.
The service was okay but the wifi/internet is not reliable and does not work properly in the rooms. The night porter had to sort out my access when I was in the common areas.
The shower was not working in my room and the bathroom and room generally were rather tired.
The room rate is fine but this reflects the quality I feel.
Bar food and restaurant generally fine
This hotel had a well worn look. Lighting in bedroom was very poor, not enough light to read. We had to read in the lounge area. Wi-if was very difficult to log
Into. The evening meal menu was very poor and the bar menu was even worse.
