Really nice and quaint hotel. Conveniently located near shopping centre, restaurants and motorway. Spa facilities were good. Room sizes are great but slightly dated and could be better maintained. Great nights sleep in room 104. Surprisingly quiet for a ground floor room next to the car park. The fridge in the room is also really handy. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely recommend/stay again.

We booked a suite. The bedroom and the living room were very tired and needs a lot of work on them to bring to the standard we expect for a four star hotel. The shower is over the bath rather than being a walk in shower. There was no shaving mirror. The sockets in the bedroom need to be next to the bed. It needs to have more sockets for plugging in our telephone and iPads. The Spa is very good. We had massages and made good use of the jacuzzi, steam room and the sauna. The menu for the restaurant and the bar is limited to just a few dishes and the booking system for the restaurant needs attention. We turned up on time and the staff on the door said we had to sit outside! At 8.45pm it was cold and we didn’t have warm clothing with us. After several minutes we were shown to a table inside. There were some tables that were empty when we arrived and never got filled. We enjoyed our stay but we had a few little niggles.

Nice but dated

The bathroom is in need of modernisinh; the sink tap was loose, the shiwer controls stiff and difficult to adjust the temperature, the shower curtain did not stop the floor from flooding I mention this to reception who daid thed get fresh towels and it cleaned up but that didn't happen. Would not stay again unless every other hotel un the area full or much pricier

It is a very pleasant place and is a haven for the weary traveller. I had a beaitiful massage and the sauna is lovely. You can change in your room and a robe is supplied for your short walk to the spa. The staff are ALL fantastic and congenial who are pleasantly helpful.
