"A lovely little cottage tucked away just outside Scarborough. We stayed over for a wedding and it was a convenient 10 minute drive to the registry office. The accommodation was well thought out with everything we needed. The hot tub was set up and ready to use as soon as we arrived, and even a chilled bottle of Prosecco waiting in the fridge!! "The room was described as a “comfort room “ we loved it! It was surprisingly spacious enough, beautiful decor and soft furnishings. The bedding and towels quality were exceptional. Hospitality tray and outlook were lovely. If I had to give a small negative, there was a slight odour in the bathroom, from probably the cloths/ mops used to clean, a bit “ sweaty socks” type of odour which lingered. On another practical preference negative, the restaurant is beautiful, ambient and amazing service from the young well trained and mentored staff….but….the wine glasses were a let down, please provide sophisticated wine glasses? That would be great."

"Well we were welcomed by Selma, who was a very pleasant, friendly and efficient host. The room was very comfortable and well equipped….even a little bottle of fresh milk for our tea and coffee, plus a few cookies for us. There was also water available in small bottles in the fridge. The breakfasts were excellent, fresh fruit and squeezed orange juice! A great selection every day!! The little village had a co-op fully stocked, art store and more across from the station. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take the train into Whitby……We’ll be back some day…..😊"

Lovely that it has the restaurant & pub on site but a short walk down the hill to further shops, pubs, restaurants etc. We chose it for the local walks which were great. A member of staff moved there car for us as the car park was full which I thought was very nice. We found all the staff were friendly. We chose a cosy double room, it was cosy & shower was small, just a corner shower so when we go back next year I’m going to book a bigger room & hopefully get one with a bath that would be nice to soak my tired legs."
