This is a cute and unusual little place, conveniently located for Halifax airport. The instructions for self check in are very easy, the room is private and there is a little common living room area overlooking the lake, where you can make coffee at any time. The restaurant downstairs seems to be a very popular spot for locals and I ate a very tasty vegan meal there. I stayed here for two separate one night stays and the first night (a Tuesday), the restaurant was closed, but my second night was a Friday and the noise in the room from the restaurant was quite loud. The noise from the road is also very loud, unless you keep the window closed. There is a very large amount of traffic flowing past here and at times it is very difficult to get in and out of the driveway, which was surprising.
I stayed in the Lake William room, which does have a partial view of the lake. The room was clean, but the bed wasn’t super comfortable for me. Overall I would recommend here, especially if you are on a budget, as the price is decent.
