"This was our favorite hotel during our time in Iceland. It was beautiful, with heated floors, comfortable spacious rooms and access to a hot tub while we watched the Northern Lights. The beds are sooo comfortable and cozy too. We will definitely come back here again when we visit the land of Fire and Ice! "

"We absolutely LOVED this family-owned and run hotel! Our studio apartment was clean, comfortable, and "well-appointed." We only had trouble with the coffee maker, but that was likely "user error" ... LOL! The owner, Johan, is a PERFECT GENTLEMAN! HOWEVER, he though we would NOT see the Aurora, but, we MOST CERTAINLY DID!!!"

"This hotel was incredible. The restaurant was delicious and a lot of the food is cooked in their Geothermal oven. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the river. Beds were comfy and we loved the hot tub. The only thing to note, is there is a strong sulfur smell in the rooms, but it didn’t bother us that much. After a while you get used to it ."

"Beautiful play to stay a bit off the road so it isn't loud from the traffic. Room was perfect for our stay, staff was friendly and they had gluten free bread to go along with the delicious breakfast. "

"The town was quaint. The hotel was clean and mostly updated. The Geothermal pool was my favorite part. The stay at this hotel could’ve been better if the beds were comfortable. The mattresses were hard and similar to military dorm beds. I’m hoping with the new reservations that was happening while I was there that would be one of the things this hotel would update. The front desk staff was personable and full of knowledge as far as where to explore in the area. "

"This place was not what I expected reading about it. Check in was fine but the person at the reception insisted we leave our shoes in the front. They do not provide courtesy slippers and so we had to walk in our socks to the room. They have a motley basket of slippers, which I’m not wearing! God knows whose feet were in them before me. Half were grungy travel slippers. The room had no shampoo or conditioner. Hot water took awhile to come. As we were the only people, the staff had breakfast setup in a small frig in the dining room. We could have it anytime between 7-10 am! This place had more dos and don’t s than amenities. At least the bed was clean and we could sleep for the night. "
