「Clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast」

「The place had a subdued elegance from century past. The furniture was old but well maintained. The room we stayed in was spacious. We did not have the weekend brunch since we had other breakfast plans - but we walked past the food that was being served and it looked great. We did spend some time in the lounge and had some drinks. The selection of beer was good, and the mixed drinks were done well.」

「This was a very basic, no frills hotel. The first room we were given smelled like smoke. We asked for a new room and were given one, which was appreciated. The breakfast had quick and easy foods like bagels, cereal, bananas, yogurt, etc. There was nothing hot like scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, or waffles. My gluten free husband, had very little to eat- yogurt, bananas, apples, and hard boiled eggs. Overall, the hotel was decent. But given the cost, I was expecting something a bit nicer.」

「I was looking to book a room in Hamburg on the 23rd of July so I started with Expedia. I looked at what was available on that date and right before I booked it I went back and double checked the rooms. then hit confirmed. In that time span the date on the room changed and I could not cancel. I chatted with Expedia support but they were unable to contact the Hotel so I called the hotel directly and was told that everything was taken care of. When I got back home I had been charged for the room...

「Sheets were clean - no bedbugs, but found a dirty pair of underwear on the bathroom floor when I entered, which left me on edge for the rest of my stay. I was promised a full refund because of this but it hasn't occurred yet.」
