The staff were hands down some of the friendliest and most genuine people to conduct business with of any place I have ever stayed. The staff were amazing, but the room could have been better with a little more effort. Unfortunately, the king-sized bed looked lonely in this rather large room with a fridge, microwave, table, 1 chair, TV, 1 small dresser, and 2 nightstands with drawers that appeared clean at first glance, but upon further investigation, I discovered that the cleaning crew could use some serious lessons in deep cleaning where it really counts, especially the bathroom and sink areas. The towels were thin and not very absorbent. The shower and toilet were not cleaned well at all. I actually bought bathroom cleaner and disinfected the shower before using it. Also, the floor needed the use of a clean mop and clean soapy water. Surprisingly, the dorm-style refrigerator w/freezer was immaculate and a decent size. The microwave was small, but very clean as well. The bedding was also clean, but the pillows were small atop an uncomfortable and lumpy king mattress.
Although there were a few cleanliness hiccups, it was overall a budget-friendly and pleasantly quiet night's stay at a hotel located right next to the main expressway that runs through Evansville.
