"This motel/spa is a work in progress but will get a 5 star solid review once they fix the kinks. The map on the website is not to scale so I couldn't figure out where the sauna was located which I was really hoping to use. There wasnt any sinage easily visible that directed you to its location. Once I found it the door was locked! Only to later discover it just was that hard to open but....by that point I was needing to check out. The walking trails in the back of the property are magnificent! Wow! Truly spectacular and worth staying for that alone.
The room is lovely. No coffee makes though and you literally have to leave the hotel and go down the street to a gas station or coffee shop to get some. No cups either for water or to rinse your mouth out with. If you are a side sleeper that bed was brutal and punishing. My partner found it comfy since he sleepy on his tummy and didn't mind the firmness.
I did meet the owner the following morning and he asked for the feedback. I was honest. He took notes and assured me they would add signage, make coffee available on the property and provide cups. As for the mattresses they had already ordered then for the rooms. (The hotel is being remodeled so there was only a few rooms available) I sugested get a memory foam topper like most upscale properties. He took my suggestions seriously and I know they will follow through.
Lastly: the linens and robes. OMG! Simply Devine. I never knew sheets towels and fabric could be memorable!"
