Great hotel!

I stayed at the Merlot for a week; it was my introduction to being a tourist in Turkey and overall a great experience! My room was exceptionally clean and the front desk staff personnel were excellent. My only complaints are minor: There was no way to control the heat in my room and many times it got too warm. The bathroom continually projected an odor of backed up sewage. Not sure if the plumbing needs flushing?

Twin beds convert to the French bed but the receptionist didn't tell this detail. Also, my reservation price is 4180, 48 TRY but they received 4184, 42 I asked Mr. Umut who is the receptionist couldn't explain the difference. As a housekeeping wonderful but front office services were bad.

My new favourite hotel in Eskisehir

I had a very comfortable, hassle-free stay at the Merlot Hotel. It is very conveniently situated for the Cassaba complex, which is full of bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful when I needed to extend my stay, and even allowed me a late check out. It was my first time staying at the Merlot but it will not be my last!

Initially, we were given a smoking twin room, though I hadn't selected any option related to this in Expedia (maybe my mistake or Expedia's). This was later attempted to be corrected by the staff at the hotel reception. I consider this an honest mistake. We were treated free coffee and a fruit plate, which was a nice act. In general, I have no complaint about the property (clean, quiet, modern place with polite people) and it is highly recommended.
