An absolutely stunning palazzo, extremely clean with so much attention to detail, your eye is constantly captivated! I stayed in the Demetrius Vikelas room (more like a suite) which was impeccably clean with the most stunning of views overlooking the city. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious with lots of locally sourced food. Nicolas has gone out of his way to assist me with dinner reservations during this busy period, details of events with specific timings, making suggestions to enhance my trip, even offering to take me to St George's Church up on the hill; one really could not ask for more! If you travel to Syros, Palazzo Santa Maria is a MUST! I would recommend this hotel to any traveller and only wish my stay was longer! "
