"This is a budget hotel without a lot of frills. The basics were done well and we had a comfortable room. Parking was cctv monitored. There was a safe space to store my bike inside. It was close to the beaches. The staff were helpful. We had a lovely one night stay. No bar or food in the evenings."

"A delightful small hotel right in the heart of the town. Everything feels brand new - a sensitive renovation of an old building. The check-in was easy in the lovely reception and breakfast area. Our room was wonderful, with a comfortable bed, full-length windows and a bathroom with an excellent walk-in shower and all the toiletries. We only stayed one night but really enjoyed it. The bars and restaurants by the harbour are only a short walk away. We would highly recommend this place as the best in Luarca!"

"Lovely staff in a central hotel next to the main square. Only slight problem was parking, but we soon resolved this. The simple solution for anyone travelling is to just set your satnav for Parking Plaza Espana. Maximum daily rate is around €17 and a 2 minute walk to the hotel."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Voar. The staff were friendly and attentive, communal facilities bright, airy and clean. There were many highlights from our stay there but for me, the swimming pool was great, not very big but ample for a few swimmers. The place is surrounded by nature (as well as several business and shopping outlets) and you could constantly hear bird singing and view beautiful trees. Breakfast was really good too, with a good variety of food and freshly squeezed orange juice. There was no traditional "fry items" such as sausages, bacon etc, but there was Spanish potato omelette, fresh fruit and many other tasty things to try. Eroski and Lidl were only 2-3 minutes away from the hotel. The room was of good size and provided with aircon, which was very beneficial as it was a warm day and night. The hotel was a short 15 minute walk to the town centre. where there are a few places to eat and drink as well as several supermarkets. Tlenty of secure parking, and we were lucky to be able to see our parked motorbike from the bedroomhere were two lovely cafes at the town hall square with delicious hot chocolate with churros, which we were lucky to try. We both think it was a great value stay and would love to go back."
