The staff is over the top accommodating. Loved them. The property is beautiful and worth the stay. We staying in the king bed room and while amazing it did have a couple issues. Rain that night caused us to have to close the storm shutter which then blocks all the fresh air flow and without air conditioning option it got hot. Also with the rain there is a well known water leak in the roof that drips and was very irritating to listen to trying to sleep

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this charming boutique hotel in Barahona. Every single detail is beautifully maintained , you can truly feel the care and attention that has gone into the property. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Honestly, I have rarely seen this level of quality anywhere in the Dominican Republic. The small tropical garden is simply stunning, creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere that makes you feel instantly relaxed. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the owner. The kindness, warmth, and level of service are beyond anything I’ve experienced , genuinely outstanding. On top of that, the restaurant serves absolutely delicious food. This is a small boutique-style hotel full of charm, but it easily deserves five stars. Absolutely perfect! nothing to complain about. Highly recommended.

The service is personalized and high quality. The property is astonishing. The restaurant menu was impressive and the food delicious. It is very private cozy and romantic, ideal for couples. I stayed there with my husband and we loved it. We would love to come back again.

Lovely lodge with an ample view of the sea

The property was clean and beautiful: with its precious wood finishes, it reminded us of Swiss forest lodges, which is quite original as well as functional in a Caribbean seaside context. Every detail of the ceramic decoration seemed likewise to have been thought out. We slept with the sound and breeze of the sea coming in through the window, which was a wonderful and deeply relaxing experience. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and a generous continental breakfast. Wo was a most attentive host.

Excellent place to stay! The entire property and room was so beautiful, clean and well taken care of. The host and employees were very kind and attentive. When we arrived, they brought us a free drink right away and later brought us water and nuts to enjoy by the pool. They made me and my wife a delicious and beautifully custom dinner and breakfast. They even served us breakfast early to accommodate our schedule. It was a luxurious visit. We were so happy to stay here and it was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. Highly, highly recommend!!

This stay surpassed any and all expectations we had of the place. I was hesitant to book at first but I’m so happy we did. This was the PERFECT couple getaway we could ask for. Very private, quiet and BEAUTIFUL! the views to the hotel were incredible and having the beach view was amazing. This is a HIDDEN gem but the instructions the owner provided would get you there np. Be sure to contact your phone company prior to your trip to ensure proper telephone service. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and attentive (but not in an annoying way). The staff (waiter - Leo and girl cook) are worth mentioning as their service was impeccable. Always Very polite, professional and food was incredible. The menu offered had plenty options. Such a beautiful stay! PS. Note this is an ecolodge and you might want to bring mosquito repellent.

Review – Baoruco and Eco Lodge Vista Mar Our stay at Baoruco and Eco Lodge Vista Mar, on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, was nothing short of exceptional. This property is truly an oasis in the middle of paradise. The grounds are absolutely immaculate—beautifully maintained, thoughtfully landscaped, and impeccably clean. Every detail reflects care, pride, and respect for the natural beauty that surrounds the property. The atmosphere throughout is peaceful, serene, and visually stunning in every direction. The hospitality provided by the host, Wolfgang, deserves special recognition. His service is old-world in the very best sense—attentive, gracious, and genuinely warm. This level of care and professionalism is rare and made the entire experience feel elevated and deeply welcoming. The accommodations are equally impressive. The rooms feature rustic, old-world décor that blends beautifully with the environment while offering comfort and elegance. From the property, guests are treated to breathtaking ocean views, pools, and mountain vistas, creating a sense of seclusion and tranquility that is difficult to find. El hotel es muy bonito y el jardín excepcional. El dueño nos recibo como si fuera su casa, es muy simpático. La comida es muy rica, aconsejo comer allá. Pasamos un súper buen momento, muchas gracias. L’hôtel est très mignon avec un magnifique jardin ! Le propriétaire nous a très très bien reçu, comme si c’était sa maison, il est très sympathique. Le repas et le petit déjeuner étaient délicieux, je recommande de manger là bas. Nous avons passé un très bon moment ! Merci beaucoup !
