When we got to our room, I noticed there were not any towels in the bathroom, I had to go to the front desk to get some.
Saturday morning we decided to have breakfast in the hotel restaurant, big mistake. There was one family of three in there when we arrived, the waitress took our order quickly and we got our drinks, but then waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. The family that was already there only got their food about 10 minutes before us, so had an equally long wait. When the food finally arrived, my omelette was wrong, and cold, but I wasn’t going to wait to get that fixed, instead I just ate the toast and potatoes. When I went to pay the bill, I was surprised I could not put it on my room, I have never been to a hotel where I could not charge hotel restaurant bills to my room. I needed to go back to my room to get my wallet. While waiting for the waitress to come out of the kitchen so I could pay, other families that were waiting for their food got impatient with the long wait and left.
I have stayed at Clarion hotels before, this visit was not even close to what I was expecting and will impact my choices of where to stay in the future.
