My room was on the ground floor at the back of the building and so nice and quiet and was spacious and nicely decorated, so my first impressions were favourable.
However, my reason for staying had been for a nice relaxing evening with a bath (pictures of which had inspired my hotel choice), then room service, then sleep. Sadly the room was far too cold, with the heater switched off, and took hours to warm up. I resorted to lying in bed whilst waiting as a refuge from the cold.
Many of the amenities listed on hotel.com were absent and there was no room service menus, nor phone or electronic means of ordering. There was also no phone reception in my room, making contacting the front desk impossible without going there in person, surely quite contrary to the idea of room service, should such a service exist in this hotel.
In the end I gave up waiting for warmth and went to bed cold and hungry.
In the morning I did use the bath, though the bathroom remained cold, being the furthest place from the heater.
All in all a very disappointing stay.
