"breakfast variety was good, but it is understaffed. We had to wait about 15 minutes because everything was empty. The reason is that there is ONE girl to had to go EVERYTHING. She stocked the food, cooked the food, cleaned the tables, emptied the trash. She was fantastic. But, she was doing 4 jobs. That's ridiculous. Shame on the hotel management."

"While this is an older motel on the outside, the staff and cleanliness make the Thunderbird motel a great value. Free breakfast with Hot Coffee is always a plus. Within walking distance of the Star Hotel which has great Basque Food. Looking forward to staying here again the next time passing through Elko."

"Bed brand new"

"The room was at the end and quiet but at 1 am they moved a family of 18 to all the room next to me and it took over an hour screaming kids banging it was awful the lady at the desk the next day responded to my email she was amazing moved me to an upgraded room didn’t let them move anyone above me and kept it quiet for the rest of my stay. She went above and beyond to make sure they fixed the issue. So if it wasn’t for her I would never go back. "

"First time i stayed it wasmt bad rooms weremt the best and hallwayss and rooms smelled like poop bad but this time the lady behind the desk was rude and didnt wanna help anyone they were straight lazy and the room wasnt really clean at all and smelt like stale ciggaretes and alcohol the resturant got me extremly sick like coupdnt get out of bed was going to have to pay for a second day because i was so sick with food poisoning except the front desk people refused to let my wife pay for an extra night up there instead told us to go online and do it wich was ridiculouse id like a refund this wasnt worth the money i paid at all "

"The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was okay. I couldn't deal with the TV and just used my own computer to watch some TV. However, the internet was so bad, I couldn't really watch much and could barely work. I can't stay at this place with such poor internet access when I'm relying on it for work. "
