"Beautiful hotel, but ruined by a rigid and disappointing check-out experience I booked this hotel for my daughter’s wedding, and our family stayed across three rooms. The hotel itself is beautiful, the amenities are excellent, and the breakfast was outstanding. We initially enjoyed our stay immensely. However, check-out was a completely different story. We were surprised to be told that a fourth room was booked under our name. When we explained we had no knowledge of this room, we asked why no one had contacted us when it became a "no-show" on night one. The staff had no answer. Despite our request for them to check their security cameras to verify that no one ever checked into or used that room, they refused. Rather than waiving the fee or offering a standard one-night penalty, they insisted on charging us the full amount for the entire stay. They completely refused to negotiate—which is incredibly disappointing considering our wedding party had brought over 20 room bookings to the resort. This rigid, uncaring customer service is certainly not what you expect from a 5-star resort."

"A refined hotel amongst many in the region which are less so. The feeling is quite exclusive, but of course, you pay for that. The food is very good, although “Lobster served with chips and a crispy fried egg, which sounds irresistible, is disappointing at euros 110 for two people,1 small lobster, between 2 does not go far. We will definitely return though for the sweetbreads cooked on the Josper! A very friendly and relaxing experience all told."

"This was pure paradise. The staff makes you feel like you are at a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton property and they take all-inclusive to a whole new level. Their tagline should read “anything, anytime”! Whether it is the 24 hour room service, the donuts for the kids at the pool, to the top shelf everything, this resort is well worth the money. The pools are always clean, the property is impeccable and the food in the restaurants we top-notch. Who can beat Tattinger Champagne for lunch for your wife or a sparking Rose pool side! We will definitely book IKOS again!"

"La Pina Verde was a wonderful find, tucked away just off the beaten track. Martin and Viktoria are exceptional hosts who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The made-to-order breakfasts were delicious and a real highlight each morning. The B&B is finished to a very high standard, and our top-floor room was excellent. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, with beautiful linens, and everything was spotlessly clean. This is a great choice if you’re looking to stay just outside Estepona and have a car. It is possible to walk to the beach from the hotel, although the route is quite rugged and takes around 20–25 minutes. Overall, we had a fantastic few days at La Pina Verde and were looked after extremely well. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the area. Heidi & Si"

"Very nice place, lots of space, nice facilities and well-appointed kitchen. Excellent restaurant on site, too, and helpful staff. Only down side were the ants around all doors, but they were not a major issue. Would definitely recommend, especially for a golfer given the proximity of the course right outside your windows."
