Wonderful location right on the water and just steps from the Skookumchuck Narrows trail head. The pub on site had some of the best fish and chips we've ever had, and the live music added to the rustic atmosphere. Our cabin was very cozy, we loved the cedar interior and the wood-burning stove kept us warm during the cool nights. The only downside was the wifi signal didn't quite reach our cabin at the very end of the row, and we only had an intermittent signal. A wifi extender in the cabin would have been a big help (maybe not an issue if you are coming here to disconnect).

Inside the dome was as expected, cozy bed, very cute! The laterns were great. Heater didn’t help much at all but I had an electric blanket. Bathrooms were clean. The only bummer was noise. Noisy staff, especially arriving early in the morning goin in/out behind the restaurant. Some loud truck beeping as it backed up very very early too. Also the domes are close to each other so you can hear every word of your neighbor. We had some disrespectful folks laughing and talking loudly until very late. So it’s cool, very cool- but if you are looking for quiet, especially at night and early morning- nobody cares.

Michelle, thank you very much for your honest and balanced review of your experience with us. I'm so very sorry that noise on our property disrupted your stay. We do try to maintain a 10pm to 7am quiet time for our guests. What concerns me the most is that you left with the feeling that nobody cares. I do care and I hope that you will be willing to come back and try out one of our cabins or maybe even the Forest Dome. Take care.

I used to tent in this exact same spot. It was so nice to have the view, room to move, a big comfy bed, chairs and a dry tent. The shower facility is a marina facility. Simple, but it gets the job done. The resort staff are helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to coming back next year!

We loved our stay at Backeddy! We unplugged and relaxed and enjoyed the quiet. We explored the beach when the tide was out, so many staffing! We did the skookumchuck hike it was about an hour each way from the parking lot, there is an awesome cafe at the beginning. We also did the night kayak tour to see the bioluminescent which was amazing!

Disappointed in our cabin.
I wouldn’t stay in the vintage small cabins again. Small and uncomfortable with a tiny bathroom. Definitely not worth $259 per night two night minimum.

The cabin for 4 is not really big enough for 4. Especially to enter the bathroom one must go thru the bedroom. A general fix up of the cabin would be nice….gaping doors, falling curtains, poor lighting.

Loved the large vintage cabin. Had everything we needed. Great location. Only one negative was the bed was too high for the other members of my group. My bad though, if i had let office know, i'm sure they would have supplied a stool. I then got the princess bed and they shared the pull out couch. Besides that - Warm and cozy, great stay

Dirty washrooms
We stayed in the dome tents. Simple, vey cute/clean. The washrooms were extremely dirty. The laundry room machine was old and spoiled my clothes. Restaurant was full of loud, drunks that seemed to spend a lot of time with the staff. And front desk staff was nowhere to be found.

We stayed in the geodomes which were super neat and had a front and centre view of the water which was pretty fantastic. Unfortunately the domes are cool but the bathrooms and other facilities are not. The bathrooms are super run down and resemble what the facilities look like at a bad hostel. It would be good to see the facilities updated to match the vibe the domes are trying to achieve. Additionally the site is a bit of a hodgepodge of other campers and vehicles/trailers which is okay but inconsistent with what the marketing materials (instagram/website) represent. Dome #2 was literally 3 metres from a large camper parked next to it so there was some privacy lacking there. Overall cool spot but inconsistent with what they are representing online.

We were the first guests in a brand new cabin thanks to the owner Peter. It was exactly what we needed after a year of a pandemic. Westcoast living and an incredible ocean view. The staff were great. The pub had amazing food. A lot of activities could be booked on sight. Great trip!!

It is a rustic cabin. I liked the fireplace, but would be happier with more woods. It was too cold when we get in, and the radiator was very small one. We moved it into the bedroom so could sleep not too cold. Living room was okay thanks to the fireplace. Washroom is small and cold. No sink, so washed at the kitchen. I liked it bcuz I wanted to have that vibe, but if you want more comfortable setting in winter, think twice.

Resort is very run down. We stayed in the modern cabin with ocean view. The cabin itself was very clean, new and with a GREAT view but the rest of the property was lacking. The pub was not open and the closest open restaurant in November was in Madiera Park 30 min away.
