Great stay, clean facilities and friendly staff, especially Maximiliano from Front Desk.
The property is an out-of-season boarding school/dormitory. We stayed in a 3-person family style room. Breakfast is very expensive. Staff is friendly and helpful.
We had a double story room that was very spacious. It is a school in the winter and a hotel in the summer so it is very well equipped and spacious. Our room was clean and roomy and the hotel itself was immaculate. It’s in a great location with lots to do nearby. Staff greeted us upon arrival and when screeching out and were very friendly.
We arrived at the property late but check-in was easy. The room and beds were good but the bathroom and especially the shower were very small and the water smelled of sulphur. Overall was OK.

Strange hotel, which looks like it also can serve as student accommodation during off peak times. Room was fairly basic - no tv. Car park is down the street. Staff were friendly. Breakfast provided was good
Rooms are outdated, no TV in room. The view is spectacular overlooking the countryside! Ask for more pillows but overall convenient to town and restaurants.
This is a good hotel that other than in the summer, is a dorm for the nearby junior college. Thus every room is set up like a dorm with desks, beds and lots of storage space. We had a triple room which was two levels, which is cool, but the upper level which had the double bed, was accessed with only a very narrow spiral staircase. Bathroom was on the first floor of the room. Since it is a dorm there were several nice public places on each floor with couches etc. Breakfast was very good. The lead picture for the hotel is for the city pool, which is across the street.

Disliked: Amenities
The drawbacks of this hotel have been well documented in other reviews. It is not the kind of place where you would want to spend a week, being quite Spartan, but if , like me, you want a cheap place for a good nights sleep it is perfectly adequate. Easily walkable from the airport along a flat tarmaced path, so save yourself the taxi fare.
I misunderstood what was meant by private bathrooms, when I booked - this is rooms with a sink, but showers and toilets are shared (each has its own locking door.) Everything was clean and worked out great.

Basic stay in north Iceland
Very basic hotel, with basically just beds...maybe understandable being a 2 star hotel. No tv in rooms or even soap next to the basin. Towels provided. Breakfast very basic, the only good thing was the waffel maker. Few reachable electric plugs, had to plug the kettle in the bathroom.

Although the room was okay: clean but very small bed for one person. The property closed the lobby door from 23 to 7 o clock. If you’re happen to step outside there is no way to walk inside the hotel. There is a sign hanging with a phone number to call. However, when you call there is no signal and nothing happens. I was stuck outside because I needed to step out for a fresh air and could not come in back. Luckily, someone walked out and I was able to get inside. There are no magnetic keys. They give you an old fashion key for the room, but not for the lobby entrance.
There was no fridge and the bed was not. Eye comfortable and very small.
Breakfast was delicious and very good.
Super clean lovely hotel with gracious service. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. Beautiful lake walks adjacent.

Kind staff, but room was very simple and the cleaning was forgotten. Although the prices in Iceland are very high. This prices is not according to the room and facilties you get.
