Very pleasant stay, staff were absolutely lovely, our room was clean and well laid out with everything we needed for a short stay and the town is nice for a stroll
What a great place to stay !!!
Nice town (with good public transport to Edinburgh)
The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the owner (John) cooked us some wonderful food.
I would stay there again if I was ever in the area.
Fantastic owners, John and Donnie have a world-class way
of providing a one of a kind b&b experience. Don’t miss this East Lithuanian gem.

Just a 3 star property with some problems
Stayed 2 nights. Would rate this as 3 star only. Had twin room no.3 - it was small and the en-suite was very small. Old carpet - needs changing. Think the TV would have been 21 inch tucked away high in one corner and only partially visible from one bed.
Problems we had - our room had not been serviced or cleaned after the first night when we returned to the hotel ! Got some clean towels on request. Also the only window to outside was a skylight panel in the ceiling fitted with an electric remotely operated blind which was faulty and did not close all the way. Since we like to sleep in blackout conditions this was not good waking up too early in a daylight flooded room.
It seems that neither of these problems had been reported to the manager when we subsequently spoke with him so nothing may change for the next guest.
Food - Had the steak burger in the evening - burger quality OK but chips were oven chips and asking an extra £2.25 for cheese and bacon is a rip-off. Having that would bring the price of the dish to £15.20 - really - for a burger & chips !!! A positive - the full Scottish breakfast was very good (except for the leathery bacon).
In conclusion - just a 3 star property not worth the £100 per night we paid.

Lovely staff, great breakfast. Rooms a little tired and shabby.
Stayed for 1 night, got early check in and breakfast on arrival day without any problem, breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. Had dinner in the evening and the food was excellent as well as the staff being very friendly and helpful.
Haddington is a lovely town, but 50 min bus ride to downtown Edinburgh, bus X7. Breakfast in the inn is excellent. Downtown Edinburgh is dirty, it seems that they have a problem with trash collection.
My son and I really enjoyed our stay here whilst playing golf nearby. Everybody was so friendly and the breakfast was superb. Would definitely stay here again.
We were the only guests the night we stayed as the hotel had only just reopened after lockdown. The staff were so friendly and helpful making sure we felt safe and comfortable. Our breakfast was preordered the evening before as no buffet was available but there was plenty of choice and all fresh cooked. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable.
Excellent customer service with a friendly staff who go above and beyond for their customers. Very friendly staff, will definitely be staying there again when next I’m in Edinburgh
