Room was spacious and clean the staff were very friendly and helpful. Wasn’t too impressed with breakfast our poached eggs were hard and very hot possibly done or finished off in the microwave??and toast really soggy as eggs were on top. Other than that we have no problem in recommending to others.

A lovely welcoming place.
The hotel staff and accommodation were excellent but it was not convenient to have to walk outside across a footbridge and car park to reach the breakfast room.

Graduation
Short 2 night stay for daughter's graduation. Overall happy with accommodation. Room on ground floor was quiet despite it facing car park.. overall was happy with stay

Would stay again
Quick check-in, good size room, although slightly dated, however, everything was there including air-con unit. Bar and restaurant was really nice with a good choice. All the staff were so friendly and helpful.

The hotel setting is lovely. Friendly staff.
In Southampton for hospital tests and treatment and this hotel was an oasis of calm in amongst the turmoil. We had a room at the back of the hotel, overlooking the garden and trees. Quiet - just the sound of the birdsong. You walk across the garden and a bridge over the stream to the restaurants. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were very kind to me knowing that I was not very well. It was great to be able to have room service: there was a table and chairs in the room. A beautiful wild country park adjacent to the hotel for strolls. Considering what we were there for, we actually had a very pleasant stay.

Very good value.
Nothing that could be described as exceptional but everything more than adequate. Breakfast was better than expected. Plenty of parking right outside the building.

Loved the briliant jazz band and cosy bar. Loved the big bed. Disappointed when the hotel receptionist didn't get off the phone to a friend and held up a piece of paper with our names on (the first being someone elses names). Disappointed that at breakfast we could not get anyone to take our order, the table was very dusty, the cutlery and small plates dirty (need new dishwasher?). All a real shame as it was recommended by local relatives who go regularly to the club. We would give it another go as bedroom clean.
