"Beautiful hotel with wonderful hospitality We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Algilà Ortigia Charme. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is full of Sicilian character and charm, and its location in Ortigia was perfect for exploring on foot. Our room was comfortable and beautifully suited to the character of the hotel, and the staff were always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. After travelling throughout Sicily for two weeks, what stood out most was the genuine hospitality. We felt like valued guests, not just another reservation. Algilà was exactly what we hoped for from a Sicilian hotel — charming, personal and welcoming. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia!"

"The hotel was new and modern. Had all the amenities. A draw back was a very expensive taxi ride to Taormino and back again. The area was not really in a great walkable area although we did walk to a nearby beach about a mile away or so. The hotel did not have a beach or a beach shuttle which I thought I read they did. Disappointing. The beach club we went to had beds and umbrellas at a cost of course. The hotel rep said theirs was closed but all the others were still open. Not sure what that was about."
