Independent Easter Island hotels

"The staff at Hotel Teanehi was awesome. There was a little bit of a language barrier but we made it work out. I definitely got my steps in during the trip as the hotel is about 1.5km away from the city restaurants. Walking at night can be a tad concerning as there are a lot of wild dogs around which are usually friendly during the day. The hotel is pretty close to Tahai which has a gorgeous sunset. The pickup and dropoff from the airport was perfect and the staff fixed an issue with the AC right away. Breakfast every morning was a great start to the day. I would recommend this stay if you want to be on the outskirts of the town and enjoy your peace and quiet."

"Just about everything in Rapa Nui (including much of the water) needs to be brought by boat or plane from Chile and often from farther afield. As a result, things are used and repaired until they fall apart. This shows in some areas of the hotel. If you take that into consideration, this hotel is very well run. We appreciated the suggestions and help from the staff, as well as the free transfer to and from the airport."
