"This is not your typical hotel. Comfortable room, Shared bath, shower, kitchen and living areas. All were. Clean, well stocked. Shower had hot water, which is pretty great for an off grid, eco tourist hotel. great vibe. "

"The elevator doesn’t work and my husband was trapped in it as soon as we arrived. The gym was unusable as it was under water. There is nothing close by in terms of groceries, the Walmart is closest but would be a 25 minute walk and do not recommend it. The appliances worked but all the cupboards smelled strong like vinegar. The safe didn’t work and the door code didn’t work and when we locked the door it still banged around because it didn’t fit properly. The pool was nothing special at all. The place was large, nice bedding, tons of towels, but overall not worth it. We were happy to check out. I wouldn’t stay here again. "

"The dogs were free to stay! The grounds were great for the dogs it was guilt and quaint. Rooms were clean although they need to look behind doors for dust etc. Ocean view was really nice. The restaurant was good! Service was great! Good delicious! "

"Great time at Hotel Hondo! So thankful for the AC and quiet area where we could decompress. Super easy walk into town to many good restaurants as well as beach. Staff was incredibly easy to communicate with and met us stay a couple hours later before hitting the road to our next place. Thank you!! "
