「When planning our first trip to Door County, our needs were simple, but hard to find. Many places say that they are dog friendly but then you find that they have weight restrictions or charge ridiculous fees. At Spruce and Shore, not only was our dog welcome for a reasonable fee, he was practically elected the mayor of Fish Creek. 「I highly recommend staying here. It is a country setting, with well maintained, peaceful grounds. The rooms are comfortable and it is a restful atmosphere. There is easy access to the highway that allows you to head north and see the entire coastline of Door County. We would come back! 」

「Quaint and comfortable. The only suggestion would be to invest in some silverware, inexpensive dishes, and a dishwasher—I felt bad using plastic utensils and paper plates for breakfast. The to-go cups are nice, but maybe using some motel mugs would be nice and eco-friendly.」

「Lynne and the younger man that work the desk were extremely personable and accommodating. I worked a wedding for hair and makeup, my mom sharing the room with me would have had to wait 2 hours outside the original check out time, but they allowed me to extended my checkout time while working with Expedia to make sure my stay was as seamless as possible and did not make a fuss over the change! Also left a clothing item in my room and they had it folded nicely waiting for me even after checkout....

「This motel had a cozy, friendly feel from the time we pulled up. Check-in was quick, and our room was very comfortable. We were mostly gone during the daytime, but it felt safe when we returned from our days of exploring Door County. Nice hot shower and decent water pressure, and the cable TV worked well. 「Excellent view of the water with waterfront property for guests to use. Great for romantic getaway, or for my wife and I a great place to bring our 5 month old son on his first vacation. Was able to take him swimming for the first time and in a great pool to introduce him to swimming.」
