"The hotel room was beautiful bed was really comfortable. It was stylish and I could not fold it. It was a great breakfast and the staff at the front River very hospitable very friendly. It was just a short walk down to the city centre and an easy drive to get to the wineries and parking was no issue. Highly recommended to anyone going there."

"This was absolutely a necessary and amazing experience! Skip Cape Town and come straight here first. It was by accident that we did, but clearly by grace and spirit. We were led here because this is where we were supposed to be. The breakfast amazing. Dinner amazing. Staff amazing! Very hospitable and geared towards making you feel like family in at all."

"Our family of 10 adults had an incredible three-night stay at Sunset Farm—it was truly one of the highlights of our trip through the Cape. The farmhouse was massive, spotless, and beautifully maintained, with every bedroom having its own private bathroom. The staff even arranged the beds to perfectly suit our group. Paul, Katie, and the entire team were wonderful hosts. They were always friendly, helpful, and available when needed, while still giving us complete privacy. My young adult daughters especially enjoyed chatting with Katie and learning about life in Stellenbosch. Evenings around the pool, braai, and cozy fire were unforgettable, especially while watching the rugby and World Cup together. It was fantastic having the property to ourselves while knowing staff were on-site overnight. The location is ideal—just minutes from world-class wine estates, outdoor markets, and the breathtaking scenery of Stellenbosch. Having a SPAR nearby made it easy to stock up on food and drinks for our evenings. After weeks of travelling through the Cape, the affordable laundry service (wash, dry, press, and fold) was an absolute luxury and greatly appreciated. Some of our family also stayed in the villas, and everyone agreed this was one of the best accommodations of our South African holiday. We highly recommend Sunset Farm and can't wait to return!"

"Delightful hosts, very helpful and accommodating. Safe parking in lovely quiet area on the edge of Stellenbosch. Enjoyed the breakfast with a good choice of fresh meats, cheeses and yogurts. Scrambled eggs and bacon perfect."
