Everything was excellent, but noisy on Friday night. Loud music due to its location close to bars. Other than that, perfect stay!

This is a beautiful little hotel in the heart of the Alstadt! There was quite a hot spell while we were there but the amazing air conditioner in the room was a delight to return to and sleep in every night!

Convenient for all amenities.

Spot on for what we needed although a bit tired in places, you should expect that on a budget. It’s close to the station and perfect for an Altstadt stay. It was very muggy when we were there and the old air con unit was a god send, there’s a bath and the shower was brill.

Hotel needs a desperate upgrade. Room was dirty, rugs are very old and stained. we have stayed here before and had a good stay... 2 years ago its sad that the hotel its in this condition. we love the area close to many nice restaurants

Great loction but loud

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help. Large "dark" room. Hooting and loud music till 5:30 am Saturday, 3am the other nights. So loud it sounds like our window's were open, but they weren't. But, if your young and want to party, your right in the middle of it.

Wow what a great location! The hotel itself is a bit old but we didn’t mind. Bathroom is updated, had some problems with water being too hot or too cold. Sheets and bed were clean and comfy. The AC was needed and appreciated. Wifi was a bit spotty.

Impossible to sleep

The room was dirty and the staff were surly but the problem was the hotel is over a bar that played incredibly loud music both nights - I didn’t sleep for two days. I had them move me from the first floor to the fourth floor the second night, and it didn’t help.

To begin with… the room was the worst room that I have ever stayed at in any hotel. The room was presented to us without it being properly cleaned but the beds were made. There were staines everywhere.. on the lamp, curtains, windows and carpet. There was even a piece of gum that was rotten on the bed side table. Previous to receiving the room, the receptionist kept on calling me asking me where I am. Although check in ends at 11PM he requested that I arrive at 10:15 for some odd reason. Not only is that rude but also non of his business when I arrive. I will never recommend this place to anybody and this is my last time to ever stay there.

While we overall had a comfortable stay, there were a few things that we were not happy with, but not all were the fault of Hotel St. Georg. The nightclub next door! OY! Maybe it was just the room we were in, but starting at about 10pm, we could hear the music and feel the thumping from the bass. On one night it went until 3:30 am. Luckily I was so exhausted that I did eventually fall asleep. The Aldstadt area is definitely a party environment, full of clubs, bars, and restaurants. It is VERY convenient to the trains, shopping, and sightseeing. We partook in the revelry (there for the Christmas Markets) and enjoyed the people watching. The breakfast buffet was satisfying. Though not the fault of the staff, on our last night our door lock broke. It took over 4 hours for us to get back into our room, and only after they finally called a locksmith who had to drill out the door. We were so glad that it happened before staff left for the night because we had an early morning flight home. Oh yes, desk is not manned 24hrs. We were given a new room for our last night, it was much smaller and we couldn't get several of the lights to work, but it was overall comfortable. Overall, I would stay there again because it was so convenient for many reasons, but know to ask for a room above the 1st floor and maybe on the other side of the hotel.

Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Hotel ist an einem Ort, wovon man alle Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen kann und auch sehr viele Möglichkeiten um was Einzukaufen und/oder Essen zu gehen. Schönes und sauberes Hotel, Zimmer und Bad.
