For value for money, this place takes some beating! The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with a very generous courtesy tray. We ate in the popular restaurant and were very impressed with the menu and the quality (and quantity!) of the food. Staff serving couldn’t have been more attentive. Great maturity shown by a fairly young staff! Breakfast was great- a cold selection of cereals, fruit and yoghurt followed by your choice of hot food (not a huge menu- but plenty to choose from as they were happy to adapt dishes!), even a takeaway breakfast bap for those in a rush! All in all, a great little stop over, lovely people, lovely food, lovely bed! We hope to stay again- thank you!

Excellent breakfast both continental and cooked beautifully to order with friendly and quick service. Dinner in the restaurant was also very good. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. Good shower. Great location for a stopover on way to Scotland. Friendly and efficient staff. Would definitely stay there again.

The place was very popular with locals so parking was a bit awkward, we arrived after 6pm and there wasn’t much room to park. Maybe one criticism would be there isn’t reserve parking for staying guests and after travelling 140 odd miles and to be faced with hunting a parking space was as I said a little awkward. But that shouldn’t take away from what was a nice place to visit great food and a generous breakfast, clean room comfy bed.

Definitely not a 4 star property. It was decent but not great. It is the only place I've ever stayed where the wifi signal doesn't even reach the 2nd floor - we couldn't use it at all. The floor squeaked and creaked with every step. I understand that it's an older building but it wasn't ideal.
