The property was in the centre and easy to find, staff was very helpful. Breakfast provded was rich. While the room and the hotel themselves were clean it was humid and smelled a bit dumpy but I assume this is a common issue with old British properties.

Good breakfast and convenient to the city sites. Pay parking on the streets, but not expensive. Only small cars fit in spaces close by.

Absolutely outstanding guest house - I was really impressed from the moment I arrived. The room was enormous and very comfortable, with everything I needed. It was the perfect temperature and almost unnervingly quiet and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Breakfast was great, and the owners were very accommodating.

We stayed for 1 night on the way to Newcastle. The location is great right in the centre, and we couldn't fault the room or service. Great place to stay. Thank you for the hospitality.

Perfect hotel for our weekend break.

Loved the hotel decor. Lovely clean room. Great staff. Great location for event at the Cathedral. Lovely cooked breakfast to order, red hot. Definitely would stay here again, we loved it.

City break in Durham.

Clean, comfortable bed and room; welcoming and friendly staff; lovely cooked breakfast, not overloaded and enough choice too; room had view of cathedral and castle. Thought the standard of accommodation was comparable to a good hotel. Only a couple of minutes walk from city centre Thanks for a lovely stay.

Amazing location and view

Amazing location - very convenient to the Durham sites. Can see the castle and cathedral from the hotel. Very clean and up to date. Comfortable as well. Parking was free from 6 pm to 8 am on the street next to the hotel.
