Very modern and comfortable property with a beautiful vista of the lake. There was street parking available, but not a lot of it. The area is typical urban Minnesota, with some good restaurants and coffee shops. It was a short trip to the tourist area near the water.

The property is a new apartment rental complex that’s renting out rooms until they’re all rented. Expensive. Did not receive a “lake view” even though we were the only overnight guests. Rooms are pretty but no usual hotel amenities…like a blow dryer. No shelf or holder in the shower so their provided shampoo/conditioner sit on the floor. No bedroom door (open to sitting area). No bathroom ventilation.

There is a lot of good about the property and the room we stayed in. Everything is brand new, but here are some things to consider. The apartment we stayed in had two big massive windows which is awesome, but the shades are only light filtering so it's still pretty bright in the room at night. The blinds in the bedroom should have had black out blinds. So you might want to bring your own sleeping masks to help make the rooms darker. The only other downside is how loud the AC is when it turns on. The HVAC is in the in the wall between the two spaces .It is super loud in the bedrooms, like sleeping next to Niagra falls loud. It would drown out our sound machine. I wish they would have actually just insulated around the HVAC in the wall to help reduce or dampen how loud the noise is. I'm guessing if you're a heavy sleeper it won't be a problem, but I almost had a wear ear plugs to drowned out how loud the sound was. Other than that view is great. The apartment was really clean and everything was really nice, but the downside is it was really hard to sleep at night.

Well they tell you to enter the parking ramp off 4th Street, but there is no entrance from 4th Street, it is actually on 1st Avenue. You need to get a code to get back into the parking ramp to get back to your car. It is a few block walk carrying your luggage to get to the front door of the Lakeview Guesthouse, and their front door is locked. You need a code that they don't give you until after you check in. The room is nice but part of it seems unfinished. My son asked if a woodpecker had pecked a bunch of holes in the wall. The ceiling isn't finished, there are numbers on the ceiling in someone's handwriting like 5x5. It is supposed to be modern industrial. The bathroom had two conditioners instead of a body wash, I'm assuming that was a mistake. It was a good stay, but I don't think we will be back.

Clean beautiful apartment. New and close to restaurants, coffee shops etc. Staff was friendly and accommodating. More like an Air BNB than hotel, didn’t use amenities or know what was available. Still some construction being completed but building and apartment was beautiful! Great value for the money!

This place is newly built. There is free parking on the street pretty much everywhere and the have 5 parking spaces in front of the building that is first come first serve. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing everything I needed for a relaxing visit. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming place to stay. I would gladly return and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Wow, what a gem in Downtown Duluth! I'm sad we couldn't stay longer. Brand new property, very clean and well-appointed with all the comforts of home. Staff were very helpful at check-in and gave detailed instructions on accessing the room, parking etc. Room was beautiful, large and squeaky clean. Bed/pillows were very comfortable and linens absolutely spotless. Great location with easy access to dining, shops and bars. The only things that could have made it better were blackout curtains in the bedroom and if the AC unit was a little quieter. We will definitely return :)
