The unit itself was very nice. Excellent utilities. The living room didn’t seem the cleanest, crumbs on coffee table and visitor guide. Blood stain on bed mattress. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy at night but seemed fine during the day. Excellent location!
Property was very clean and close to downtown Duluth. Hosts provided towels, shampoos, plates/silverware, and cooking pans. Overall a very nice and cozy stay.
We enjoyed a fun weekend all around Duluth and up to Gooseberry, so this was a great location for us. We enjoyed spending some time on the front porch. Nice having off-street parking, too.
There were two couples but we made it work with the use of the sofa bed. Unfortunately there were no linens or pillows for that bed anywhere in the unit. Someone did bring that stuff out the next day. We were kept awake for quite a while, due to creaky floors and active upstairs neighbors but what can you do? Right next to a CVS and a Walgreens, nice. But we did have some feelings that the neighborhood was just a little sketch. There was a lamp that didn't work and only one small kitchen knife, but all in all we had a good weekend.
Perfect basecamp for a long weekend on the North S
We needed a dog-friebdly base camp for a long weekend with easy access to Hwy 61 and all the amazing beauty and outdoor recreation it has to offer. The condo was perfectly located and walking distance to a grocery store and two pharmacies, plus an awesome oottke coffee shop and a plethora of quality food options. The condo was newly renovated, clean and very comfortable (even had heated floors?!). Everything you need and nothing you don't. We were able to bring our pup for an extra $75, which was awesome. All for a price comparable to a hotel, but higher quality and more private with a kitchen. Really appreciated the courtesy call from the office a couple of hours in advance of check in, when they accommodated a slightly earky arrival (a saving grace). We will be back!
We love how this grand old home has been converted into a nightly stay. Walking in the front door, you get a feel of what it might have been like over 125 years ago when the house was built. The stain glass windows and the old staircase really give the house character. Once inside the unit, there is nothing old. Everything has been updated with modern finishes and colors. You don't even realize the age of the home! The location is very convenient to getting around Duluth. We stayed 2 nights and the only problem we had was on the second night, after one of the hottest days of the year in Duluth (well over 90 degrees), this 3rd floor unit would not cool off. We had all 3 cooling units running all day and into the evening, but the temperature would not go below 80 degrees inside. Fortunately there were 2 large oscillating fans there were in the closet for us to use while sleeping, but it was not enough relief. Besides that one hot night, we had a great stay and would stay again and recommend it to others.
This was the perfect place to stay for a trip to the North Shore. It would be great for a few nights with the full kitchen, but we only stayed one night. I would stay again.
The unit was updated nicely. It had lots of space and the foldout couch is memory foam and not just springs mattress. That was definitely a plus. Close to the waterfront. We would stay here again.
