"The pool was icy cold. The shower was a just little bit warm almost cold. Foam plates are not acceptable for hot breakfast food. The door key worked after 5-8 attempts. Breakfast didn’t have any meat. The room didn’t have closet or hangers for jackets."

"Waterpark was closed, so that was a bummer and not advertised on Expedia. But the main concern, was the fire alarm went off at 3am and the entire hotel had to evacuate. There was something wrong with the alarm in my room, as it emitted a typical loud fire alarm sound-but for some reason, it also emitted an extremely high pitch sound that was the loudest thing i have ever heard in my life. As I write this the next day, my ears are still ringing horribly. The sound of the alarm after 5 mins of trying to frantically get out of the building while cupping my ears in my room, likely has done permanent damage to my hearing in some Level. I mentioned it to the front desk the next day and told Then that if a baby or child was in that room, it could have serious permanent hearing loss. They gave a “sorry, we will get someone to check it out. Take care.” I come to Dubuque often, but will not Come back here -only because of the damage to my ringing ears."

"Entrance has a handicap push button for door to open automatically which was not working (neither the outside push button nor the one inside to get to the lobby. The room had wall plugs that had only a bottom plug working - the top plug did not work. The bathroom had gouges out of the molding at the bottom and there were signs of mold. Listed as a 'full breakfast' it included a round patty of supposed scrambled eggs and greasy sausage. The hotel double-billed my stay on my American Express card. All in all - not a great just barely ok experience."

"I mean it's a $50ish dollar a night hotel (when we stayed). The breakfast was ok, the room had a bit of a funky smell, but you get what you pay for. "

"Pool area was very crowded, the hot tub was packed with kids. No toys are allowed in the pool at all. Very short staffed.Breakfast very basic.Elevator out of order and because the hotel charged me for early check in and shouldn’t have it took 2 hours to get checked in."

"The rooms were not clean. The TV was outdated. There were stains on the carpet, bugs in the light fixtures, and the paint was chipped off the walls. Our room key stopped working and the man at the front desk was unapologetic. The elevator was jerky and the door barely opened. The food was cold and unappealing. This hotel should be shut down or the price should be dropped significantly."
