"What a stunning place! Sandrine greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The ensuite room was small but perfectly appointed for our stay. There was a lovely lounge with comfy sofas amd a TV. "We enjoyed our stay very much. Everything was perfect, from the comfort of the rooms to the breakfast. We took the option to have dinner at the venue. It was truly one of the highlights of our stay. Everything is bio and comes from their own land. The peacefulness of the location just right at the river was another magical experience. Perfect to swim in the lake, paddle, or even for a boat ride. Tomar or Coimbra is just 30 min drive and provides the option for a nice day trip. We can highly recommend this hidden gem. The hosts are lovely and very welcoming."

"Well positioned. Just don't trust Google maps as it doesn't show you that you go across the little bridge through a park and the hotel is just at the end of the little park. We had a wonderful stay. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about local events."

"So much history at this property. It is beautiful. While we were FaceTiming with our son, he commented on the church behind us. We clarified that it was a former convent and it was our hotel. He thought that was really special. So did we. The staff was great and very helpful in making suggestions on what to see and where to eat. We wish we had more time as there is so much history within a 60 mile (100 km) radius of Serta. Specifically the knights of the Templar. It is fascinating. The property is right next to a beautiful park and the Roman Bridge, which led to the best restaurant in town. The food there was amazing and the prices were very reasonable. The only issue we had with our room was our air conditioner would not come on after it shut off (taking the room key out of the slot or opening the door to the patio). The staff was super helpful in resetting things from the front desk when it was needed (about 5 times). The staff was apologetic, but made sure we were happy. We have traveled a lot and the buffet breakfast here was one of the best we have ever had. There was a huge variety of food from 8-10 different fresh fruit options, 12-15 pastry options, 8-10 fresh cheeses and meat, yogurt, granola, hot eggs, bacon and sausages. If you leave hungry, it is your own fault. We are looking forward to our next trip so we can stay longer. This is the place to stay in Serta."

"Villa Gale Tomar has updated a gorgeous historic location along the Nabao River while still honoring it's historic charm. We booked a room with a balcony facing the outside pool and river, and were more than pleased with our accommodations. The hotel has ample parking in the prettiest parking lot I have ever used, only 1 block across the river to the downtown main street, and is full of elegant charm!"
