The owner is very passionate about running his BNB and went above and beyond with everything from recommending restaurants and sights, as well as explaining local history and culture. The building is well renovated, staying true to its authentic heritage. Lastly, the breakfast was delicious!

Beautiful B&B with friendly hosts

We stayed for 2 nights at the start of our trip around northern italy. Our hosts were so lovely and friendly, the building was beautifully restored and nothing was too much trouble. We had delicious breakfasts all locally sourced. The gardens were beautiful and our hosts had lots of recommendations for day trips and meals for us during our stay offering to book trips for us when needed. Would 100% recommend booking here, and we will definitely be staying again if we're in the area

The villa is well restored and we can see all the details of the past charms. Thanks to Doriano for the warm welcome and detailed introduction of the history of the villa. The breakfast is amazing, with most ingredients locally produced and the delicious cakes made by Giovanna. The couple also gave us many useful tips for our travel in lake Como. It is the best B&B experience that we ever had. The location is also very convenient with a large parking place just next to the villa. And the port is only 5 minutes by foot.

Beutiful Villa and great hosts.

Beautiful Villa and amazing hospitality from our hosts. Very old building which have its charm, but also its faults cause its very loud everyhting you do in the corridors/rooms. Maybe we sleep a little light but it was easy to wake up from different noises. The breakfast was amazing and you get it served to the table. Everything bought or made locally.

Doriano and Giovanna are wonderful hosts. Their attention to detail is so impressive. The garden oasis outdoor area is a perfect spot to relax with a drink or to enjoy their amazing breakfast (Giovanna’s home made sweets and sweet cornbread were standouts). It is such a beautiful old building and happily it retains its historic charm. Great experience here! Would definitely stay again.

Ein kleines Paradies am Comer See Wir haben vier Nächte im Hotel Rosalinde verbracht und wären am liebsten noch länger geblieben. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen – man merkt sofort, dass hier mit echter Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Die Betten waren super bequem, und es war herrlich ruhig. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag ein Highlight: frisches Obst, knusprige Croissants, regionale Käse- und Wurstspezialitäten, dazu richtig guter Kaffee und hausgemachter Kuchen (und vieles mehr). Alles wurde liebevoll angerichtet. Was uns besonders beeindruckt hat, war der Service. Egal ob an der Rezeption oder beim Frühstück – alle waren unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit, ohne dabei aufgesetzt zu wirken. Man fühlt sich einfach willkommen. Die Lage ist perfekt, wenn man es ruhig mag, aber trotzdem nicht abgeschieden sein will. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuß bei mehreren sehr guten Restaurants, kleinen Cafés und am Seeufer. Auch Wanderwege starten direkt in der Nähe.

Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Tage in Dongo in einer Unterkunft, die bereits seit dem 16. Jahrhundert besteht und eine einzigartige historische Atmosphäre ausstrahlt. Die Gastgeber waren unglaublich herzlich und zuvorkommend, vom ersten Moment an haben sie dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns wohlgefühlt haben. Ihr italienischer Charme war einfach wunderschön und zugleich unglaublich liebenswert. Wir können die Unterkunft sowie die Gastgeber zu 100 % weiterempfehlen! Ihana majapaikka, jota pyörittää rakkaudella vieraanvarainen ja superystävällinen pariskunta. Herkullinen aamiainen tarjoiltiin kauniissa puutarhassa. Talo on upeasti kunnostettu vanha kaunotar ja pysyi viileänä myös heinäkuun kuumuudessa. Lämmin suositus niin pariskunnille kuin lapsiperheillekin! Uimaan pääsee kävelymatkan päässä olevalle julkiselle rannalle, jossa rantabaari.

Det var ett fantastiskt ställe med underbara personer som drev stället. Det var ett vackert hus och mysig trädgård där man blev serverad en underbar frukost varje morgon. Jag kan inte annat än rekommendera det här stället. Vi hade en hel lägenhet till oss själva med egen ingång, vackert renoverad men ändå med alla bekvämligheter. Vi kommer tillbaka!

Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend the place because the hosts are super nice, the garden is wonderful and the value for money for that region is great. However you have to be aware that the house is very old and badly soundproofed, there were no opportunities to stow anything or hang towels in our room/bathroom which we thought wasn't very convenient. (There was an old wardrobe, but we weren't able to open it, obviously we should have asked). Dongo itself isn't a very nice place but still there are some good restaurants and it was off-season, so maybe it's different and more lively during the summer months.
