The room was clean and comfortable. I upgraded to an en-suite room, which made all the difference. The breakfast was great, though there is no longer on-site parking. There is a free carpark about 5 minutes walk away, cheaper pay-and-display parking round the corner and more expensive pay-and-display parking on the road outside.

I was extremely disappointed with this hotel. While it is correctly located in the heart of Donegal Town, very little else matched the description. It is advertised as an “award-winning” guesthouse, which was difficult to understand given the overall experience. The rooms were neither bright nor airy, but small, tired, and carried a strong smell of stale grease and dirt. The walls were so thin that we could clearly hear neighbouring guests talking, snoring, and using the bathroom. The staff were disinterested and rude, which only added to the poor experience. Breakfast was also misleadingly described, what was presented as a full Irish or continental option amounted to little more than greasy food or a basic bowl of cereal. The property also advertises free limited on-site parking however, this was only suitable for motorcycles, so it was effectively unavailable. Overall, the hotel did not match its advertised standards. The only redeeming feature was the location and the friendliness of the wider Donegal community.

The location is perfect for visiting Donegal Town. It's very close to all sorts of shopping and transportation and places to visit. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Great location, room was very cute. Breakfast was amazing. We parked in car park, not far from the guest house. Cost was very low during the day, free overnight.

It is very convenient staying in the heart of Donegal. The breakfast was good and they accommodated my Gluten Allergy. A little quirky getting the toilet to flush. The furnishings are old and tired but the room was clean. No air conditioner so luckily the weather was cooler. Our double room was quite small - tight moving around with our luggage out.

Property was VERY run down and dated. Towels were small, old and tattered. Sink in bedroom took a long time to warm up, but then was nice. One bed had OK linens, but one rough and scratchy. Room was moderately large, but it was the ”family” room and was cold and 4 flights up!! Shared bathroom was gross. Shower had specks of blood and only one shared hand towel. Advertised “Amenities”,but only had dollar store shampoo/conditioner and hand soap. I feel someone should be checking shared BR on a regular basis for cleanliness. Sadly, maybe a sign telling men to put the seat down!! Breakfast was nice and definitely filling. NO real personal interaction with the hosts. VERY convenient and walking distance into town. Won’t be staying there again.
