Loved the view and the service. So accommodating . Had a very nice view of the ocean and the surroundings were very nice. The only suggestion I would make is that the pool deck is very slippery with or without shoes when it is wet. Had a great time with the staff they were wonderful people. Loved our stay

The experience was fabulous

Hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful. Room was great with a nice view of the surrounding area. Pool was perfect for lounging or swimming laps. Breakfast was very nice. Waking up to singing birds was a nice change.

A real gem

Wonderful , absolutely wonderful. Loved the homemade breakfasts each morning, air conditioned cabin, beautifully groomed surroundings and pool. Lots of birds of color. The manager and assistants were always visible and willing to chat. The view is exceptional. Will definitely stay here again if it is available

Great place to bird watch and sunsets.

Amazing place to watch birds and sunsets! The staff, Jeffers and Orlando were exceptional and we enjoyed breakfast every morning in the common area watching birds. Don't forget to walk around the property grounds and explore. That said, we only had hot water one day we were there. We did notify staff and they tried to fix it but it never happened. I do not enjoy cold showers.

Amazing ocean view

Quite place, amazing view, very kind staff, too expensive for what you get, very few staff the bar tender is the recepcionist, waiter, and everything so you will have to wait. The pool do not have tiles, the room is nice but it could be good to have a refrigirator. The restaurant menú is to small and not for a hotel, they serve basically snacks.

Hotel Lookout at Playa Tortuga

Overall everything was great. When I read other reviews I thought there was more to walk to but that is not true. However, it is an easy drive to restaurants in the area and about a 10 minute drive to Uvita, 25 minutes to Dominical which offer more options for restaurants and things to do. The property itself is beautiful & relaxing. The food at the restaurant is really good, we had breakfast everyday and dinner once. This was the area in Costa Rica where we did a lot of activities; hiking, snorkeling, etc. so coming back to this hotel at night was exactly what we needed to unwind and get some rest. One thing to note is that you are not an easy walk to the beach. We drove down because of the roads and then walked the beach. There were a few other people walking the beach but there isn't much else going on. Would definitely recommend.

Der Name ist Programm

Tolle Terrasse mit super Blick, großes Gelände, es werden Touren angeboten, mit $ 35,- pro Person aber nicht ganz billig. Jeffer, der Guide (Mitarbeiter des Hauses, sehr nett) macht das sehr gut. Unser Highlight: Tukane. Standardzimmer ganz okay, manche mit View, manche nicht ganz so.

Lovely hotel in great location

We stayed in a lovely bungalow with a balcony that looked out over the sea- we watched the sun go down and then the firefires came out. The owner and staff are really helpful, and the local beaches were beautiful and almost deserted.

Fantastic Hotel Near Ballena

We stayed here during Tropical Storm Nate (by chance) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent and the grounds are beautiful with a pretty incredible view of the ocean. There's also lot's of amazing bird life and howler monkeys make appearances as well.

Jeffer, Orlando, and all the staff treated us like family. The view of the ocean with swells rolling in barrels, while you can hear the surf is exquisite. The food was amazing, the drinks perfect. Laying in the negative edge pool, it merges with the ocean on the horizon. Pura Vida at Hotel Lookout!

The staff at the outlook hotel were extraordinary awesome they were the nicest decorated clean rooms I have stayed at in Costa Rica over the past 16 days the staff really cared about there individuals who stayed with them the food was outstanding I would give the outlook hotels a 20 out of 20 there so much higher than a 10.

hill top hotel with ocean view beyond the trees

the hotel is in a very scenic location , perched at the top of a hill and surrounded by forest, with the deep blue Pacific ocean beyon the trees. The breakfast was very good. It had a nice swimming pool but it was extremely loaded with chlorine, so much so that it burned your eyes inmediately if you attempted to open them. Other than that , very nice. bit expensive drinks that are cut down 50% during happy hour (5 to 6 pm) which brings them to more rational prices for the country cost of living. it has several bungalows duplex casitas down a couple of flights from the pool and reception are, overlooking the beautiful scenery. Good service from Orlando.

Took care of us like family

We moved to this hotel after being disappointed in another in town with a similar rank on TA This place took care of my family, my wife broke her foot and leg the first day in an ATV accident. The whole staff pitched in to make sure she was comfortable Could not ask for more Great rooms, breakfast, dinner and pool, plus great view
