Beautiful grounds, very clean, and amazingly gracious owners. This is a small ‘Posada’ type property which is located within walking distance to the main beach (Whale’s Tail) and surrounding areas in Uvita. My family and I had a wonderful experience. The room is rustic, and may not for everyone (no blackout curtains and can get a bit noisy during the early morning).

Nice hotel, the owners are very nice and they are very helpful. It's a small hotel attached to great Italian restaurant. Great value for money. Definitely would recommend it. If I had to complain about something it would be that it doesn't have inside parking, but no drama with that matter.

We had a lovely stay! The owners are very kind and responsive and were happy to help us with advice on what to do and booking tours, and also happy to let us do our own thing. The Italian restaurant on site is also run by the owners and it is delicious. Very laid back place, easy going, nice accommodations and a short walk to Marino Ballena Park, beaches, restaurants, and bakeries. As a bonus, at night the garden smells of jasmine. 10/10 would stay here again any time. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful.

Garden paradise

Silvia and Ferdinando were excellent hosts. Silvia oriented us to the area and checked on tours. The property is a large garden with pool and outdoor kitchen for guests. The town is small and low key. You can walk to either beach entry. We ordered dinner at our host's Italian restaurant. Ferdinando cooked: it was wonderful. Three great courses. We were off season for whales so will try to come back to Dolce Uvita

The food, the gelato, and the swimming pool, in addition to the kindliness of the owners, are all highlights. Good value, especially if you book direct from them and get the half board option, which is very much recommended.

Sylvia, the owner/manager was so nice and pleasant! Our room was comfortable and very clean. The property was beautifully landscaped and there is a pool to cool off in. There is also a restaurant on the property which was nice to have right there for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

My small kids and I stayed here for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Silvia and Ferdinando prepared a delicious Italian dinner for us our first night. They were so kind and friendly during our stay. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of flowers and trees, and the pool is the perfect place for a swim after the beach. We loved how close it was to supermarkets and within walking distance of Marino Ballena. I recommend this place for all travelers.

Old fashioned hospitality hotel

I can’t say enough about our stay in Uvita at Dolce Uvita. Silvia and Ferdinando have done a beautiful job of creating an unforgettable experience. It’s an old fashioned hotel experience the way guests and hosts used to be. The pool, the grounds, the location, the personal chef touch with some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had (I lived in Italy for 2 years). Great place. Don’t book anywhere else.

Little Uvita Resort

We hit a home run when we decided to stay at Dolce Vita for part of our trip. Sylvia and Ferdinando could not have been more friendly and greatly improved our overall experience with their fantastic advice and food. You simply must take advantage of their Italian restaurant and homemade cooking - it was authentically delicious. The property is immaculate. I can't even imagine how much time the owners put into keeping the estate well-manicured and the rooms spotless. I would definitely not hesitate to return and stay there again in the future. Thank you!

Best of the both worlds

This is a small resort run by an Italian couple from Milano. The place is cozy (garden of flowering trees full of tropical birds) quite and 10 min walk to the beach and park entrance. The room we had was simple but clean and had everything we need including a coffee maker. There is also an open kitchen area. But the best thing is the Italian restaurant where meals are prepared by the husband. Not just pizza and pasta place but sophisticated and delicious Italian dishes. Best Ravioli Alla Boscaiola we ever had! And the owners were with us super-nice so we felt like staying in a family.

This place and the people that own it are absolutely amazing!!!! I couldn’t have booked a better place. They treated you like family and took care of everything. They had an amazing Restaurant right on the property and everything was delicious from Breakfast to Dinner. The owners even went all out for a Christmas Dinner. Sylvia helped me book rides and gave me all the information needed for activities. The location is wonderful because it is so close to the beach and was beautiful to stay in as well. Whenever I come to Uvita, I will be staying there.

Great location in downtown Uvita, this hotel is attended by it's owners: Ferdinando and Anna Silvia, a very friendly and empathetic Italian couple. They go beyond great attention and make you feel like visiting old friends: they will point you to the many places Uvita and it's surroundings have to offer, including touristic attractions, tour operators and restaurants. Pool and jacuzzi are nice and well maintained, but the hotel main attraction is it's restaurant: there you'll get REAL Italian food, prepared by them, using mainly natural ingredients and following their own family traditional recipes. Go ahead and ask for the specials...dishes that may take up to 5 hours to prepare, but that will leave asking for more! Great food, good location and excellent service. You will love your stay at Dolce Uvita.
